Optum-Rancho Mirage Primary Care reviews
9 Made an appointment as a new patient 6 months ago and was called less than 24 hours prior to the appointment alerting me the doctor isn’t accepting new patients this year (the year is now two months in and this appointment was made last summer) and the appointment was cancelled. I could see a PA but not at the same day or time I was originally scheduled for. There’s was no remorse at all with the situation and the late notice was blamed on “a temp” who “must’ve missed calling a few weeks prior. ”
Probably blessing in disguise as, if this is how the office treats people, perhaps not the best outfit to rely on for healthcare
I signed up for an extremely expensive PPO Blue Cross health plan, Murray Taylor was assigned to me as my primary care physician, I called and they said they couldn't see new patients for almost 6 months. 5 months into waiting for my new patient appointment I received a call indicating the doctor Taylor had reduced his working hours and was no longer seeing new patients. Additionally they won't know for another 6 months if he might start seeing new patients in the future. The state of health care in the United States ladies and gentlemen
Dr Taylor Murray is the best primary care physician I've ever had. He's got a great staff, and I can be a bit of a "HIGH MAINTENANCE" patient, I'm 60 years old, so when I say the best I've ever had that's really saying something. Trust is very important to me and I have really gotten a lot done since switching doctors almost 2 years ago. I'm very grateful for the time and help his staff has given me too. It's been a tough time for me after having to go on disability for a seizure disorder, since changing my primary care physician to Dr Taylor Murray I'm doing better than I have in over 15 years. "Onwards and upwards".
I've been a patient of Dr. Taylor's for years and think he's a great Doctor. Ever since his Assistant, Megan left I can't get anything done. I just received lab work paper from them I requested a month ago. I ask questions and they don't get answered. I miss Megan, she was on top of it all the time. They just moved their office, I've asked twice where it's located and can't get an answer. I may have to give up Dr. Taylor as this is no way to run an office!
If you care about you're loved ones, do not bring them here. The staff are very unprofessional, they gossip about patients and make inappropriate comments about them. You could hear one of the managers screaming and using profanity language while on her cell phone, she seemed angry. There is always new staff and short staffed as well for a reason. They even had one of their medical Assistants in there working, full blown cough, sneezing. Where is the pt safety? Specially when working with the elderly. That's not even half of what other patients have witnessed as well. While having a conversation with another person, she said the office manager Adriana was verbally abusive towards the elderly patients. So you tell me what kind of company it is. Something out of the gutter. No empathy! Seems like they prey on the patients when they are down. Company has no morals.
Very knowledgeable extremely friendly and he really cares about his patients.
My wife and I are glad we found him.
Staff extremely courteous and friendly
The Doctor is great!
The staff needs to return phone calls in a timely manner. I was given an appointment a couple of months earlier. I called the day before to confirm my appointment for the next day. They never called me back. When I showed up for my appointment they told me it was not until the following week. When I asked why? They said they had been very busy. To their credit they scheduled me for an hour later. We're all busy, but patients also need to be shown a modicum of respect. I will write a review again next time, but for now I can only give them one star even though I don't like doing so.
Dr. Taylor joined Optum in summer of 2021. The billing system has been screwed up ever since.
