Opus One Winery, Oakville CA

We had an amazing tasting and tour at Opus One. Our host, Jorge, was so very friendly and knowledgeable. He has a love for wine and was able to clearly convey it. I have never seen a more stunningly beautiful barrel room. The whole experience, from start to finish, was beautiful and elegant. Of course, the wine was legendary and wonderful.

WOW, what an unforgettable experience! Thanks to Gregg Bruce, our group have the most amazing time at Opus One. The wine is excellent and the hosting was unique. Since our arrival until the last sip, visiting the 1,000 barrels aging the wine, we feel welcome and I recommend this winery for those who is looking for a great experience. Thank you Gregg and all the Opus One team.

We had an excellent experience at Opus one. Everyone was polite, professional, and educated. They treated us to a great experience for our honeymoon. The wine was exceptional but expensive. We have visited a few others and while Opus One does not have deep historic roots, it does provide excellent wines and views. Worth a visit without a doubt!

This is our first time in Napa. We have visited a few wineries but never have experienced an official tasting. We visited today on our anniversary and they made every effort to make us feel special. The cost of the tasting is worth every penny. Greg was our host and he was incredibly knowledgeable and overall a pleasant person to talk to. The wine, property, and experience are great but Greg really took it to the next level for us and we will never forget it! Thank you Greg!

The pinnacle of red wine experience in California!
An Opus One red is an unforgettable experience- these wines are so well crafted they just stand above others. The estate is beautiful, serene and calm. It feels like a private visit. Rooftop is fantastic for a great view and a bottle of wine. The wine experts are well versed, friendly and very hands off. We had Gregg Bruce helping us and he was fantastic - fountain of knowledge and great sense of humor. Take a tour and experience the whole place. This is not one you want to slam or rush. We tasted 2012,2017,2019, and Overture reds. What a journey on the palate! You have to experience for yourself. Must book in advance. There is great parking after you pass the gated entrance. We also had small snacks ordered since we had a dinner booked for afterwards. This is not a cheap tasting but worth every penny! Wines you will taste go from $150 to $350 to >$800 so not your everyday glass. Highly recommend it to anyone especially those who are into red wines. This is the Mecca, period! Enjoy! Cheers!

We had an absolutely wonderful tasting at Opus One today. We were familiar with their wines and only had time for one tasting today. Opus One was recommended by a friend so we went there and were very happy with our choice. Greg did a great job of guiding us through the tastings and a tour of the facilities. He was very knowledgeable and personable. We also appreciated his recommendations for other wines and restaurants in the area. Thanks for making my birthday memorable.

Such an amazing property and gorgeous environment. We came here for our anniversary, and it was the best place for tons of photos. The experience was worth the drive from Washington state. We definitely went home with a bottle of wine.

Opus One is a must visit for any wine lovers. They are very accommodating to the changes I needed to make to my reservation. I opted in for the Opus One Experience which was a bit on the high price side but to me it was definitely worth it to learn about the history of the winery and the Napa region in general. Nancy was an amazing host and she provided us with her undivided attention throughout the whole experience and answered many of our questions. She didn't influence the tasting in any way until after I tried it and started asking for her opinions. After I finished the tasted, Nancy gave us a tour of the facility and the process of how Opus One processes and ages their grapes. It was very nice to see all the equipment and would love to see how it looks when harvest season comes around. This may be a bit on the higher priced side for some so it may not be for everyone. Overall the experience lasted about 2hrs and I'm very happy that I finally got to try this highly rated wine with an equally wonderful experience and host.

Such an amazing winery. We booked a $200 option. The area we were in was a first class lounge. For a $100 one, you will be in the casual area.
For tasting, we had 2012,1016 and 2018 glasses.
