Beautiful people, very caring & sweet. Gave me diapers & tons of food. They deffentily were a blessing

Great group of volunteers serving the less fortunate in the community.

I’ll give y’all 2 stars for the effort. Maybe my review will change in the future but, for today, this is what it is. First time comer, half of the food received stunk and was spoiled/expiring today. I’ve been to a lot of food banks in my life and nothing like this has ever happened. Do y’all just dumpster dive and find food that’s good until tomorrow? What the absolute heck? Please consider checking your food before giving them out to the public.

Well i called the food bank in advance to ask if my friend who is down on her luck and has no i.d. And is staying with me till tbe weekend could still get some food. They said yes but in the future she'd have to provide i.d. So off we went, then after waiting patiently in the heat for 2 hours i informed the lady behind the counter of prior call and told her she was only staying temporarily at my house till the weekend. WELL FOR WHAT EVER REASON THEY TREATED HER LIKE SHE WAS DOING SOMETHING WRONG, KEPT LABELING HER IN THEIR CONVERSATIONS AMONG THEMSELVES AS USDA. SHE ASKED WHAT THAT MEANT AND NO ONE WOULD AKNOWLEDGE HER. THEN THEY SENT HER OUT THE DOOR WITH 5 CANNED GOODS, 1 SMALL JAR OF PEANUT BUTTER AND A SMALL BAG OF 4 ROLLS. THAT IS ALL! I DIDNT KNOW THIS TILL SHE GOT TO THE CAR. AND NOW THE FOID BANK DOORS WERE CLOSED. DONT GET ME WRONG, WE ARE NEVER UNGRATEFUL FOR ANY THING GIVEN AS CHARITY! BLESS ALL THAT GIVE. THE PROBLEM IS THE WAY THEY TREATED AND LABELED HER AND THEN DIDNT EVEN GIVE HER ENOUGH FOR EVEN ONE MEAL. THIS IS SO WRONG AND FOUL I DONT KNOW WHERE TO START. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY HER OR ANYONE WOULDN'T BE GIVEN THE SAME AMOUNT AS ANYONE, I. D. OR NOT IF THEY OK'D PRIOR WHICH THEY DID. IS SHE NOT ENTITLED TO FEED HER HUNGER EQUALLY AS SOMEONE WITH AN I. D? I INTEND TO CALL THE FOOD BANK AND ASK THAT VERY QUESTION. THIS WAS B. S. AND THE PEOPLE AT THE FOOD BANK SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES.

Was able to sign up fast online a do volunteer hours school. Safe friendly emviornment with great people Ifelt good give my service here. Wish there were more places like this for those that need a little help when life gets tuff.

Clean, nice staff, love the remodel. Inside could be enlarged, gets elbow to elbow there. But very comfortable organized, _)

My husband and myself found ourselves behind on bills, and lacking enough money to buy groceries. We both do work, but had no other choice than to reach out for help. Today, I went to Orangevale Food Bank as I have had to do on 2 other occasions. I would like to say thank you so very much to everyone who helped my family today! It was NOT A DEMEANING situation at all! Everyone was so kind, and friendly. I want to say a special thank you to Antoinette! She greeted me with sincerity, and kindness. I do feel a bit bad because she offered to pray for/With me, although I declined. Please know that I REALLY did with all my heart appreciate the gesture, it's just such a private place for me, is all. But thank you so much again!
I hope to give back in some way very soon! It will be a PRIORITY!
