We put my mother inlaw in Orchard about 1 year ago.
At first it was good but they got purchased by Merrill gardens and now they raised here cost of care up $600.
They said their doing a lot more with her but everytime we're there no one comes to here room.
The care has not increased for the added cost.
We're looking for another place to move here to that will not over charge for the services.
A friend has here mom there as well and their doing the some to here with the unwarranted price increase with no added services.

My parents needed a place to stay while my mom recovered from a fall with head injury. I had to transfer her from a skilled facility to assisted living for the rest of her recovery until she was well enough to go back to LA where my parents live. Orchard park was wonderful. We had viewed another facility nearby but it was not as well maintained as Orchard Park. This facility was clean, and easy for my parents to get around. Vanessa was phenomenal in getting us set up. Room 101 was one bedroom style. It was good size and location was great. Elevator just steps away. Dining room was also close by. My dad really liked the freshly made daily popcorn. One of the things I noticed was the facility had hard flooring rather than carpet so it always looked and smelled clean. The other place we were considering smelled terrible as soon as you entered (they had carpet) and the layout was very confusing. This was a primary reason we chose Orchard Park as it was clean and had a simple floor plan. The staff were caring and eventually got to know my parents well. Mom didn't like to leave their room but Dad made a lot of friends. When mom needed help I was glad my dad could push the call button in their room and help came right away. The staff called me whenever there was a concern. I feel my mom got excellent care. My dad didn't need assistance but he really enjoyed his stay. Mom recovered so they moved back to Los Angeles but if they were to need to move to Clovis, Orchard Park would be the place we'd choose.
