Ortho Mattress, Monrovia CA

My story is too long but all i can say is that i will never buy a mattress here again. After having some issues with the delivery, i called and spoke with the person who said he was the manager. After explaining the situation to him, he told me he couldn't do anything and that the issue i had was my fault. Oh no I said as the salesman didn't give me correct info about having to use a bed frame from Ortho. The manager again said it was not Ortho's fault and wouldn't even give an apology. He said that the customer is not always right and he hung up on me because I raised my voice at him. When i called back he would not answere. Since i was nearby, i went to the store and told him who i was. We went over the same thing and he kept insisting it was my fault. I did raise my voice again and he moved back and said I was scaring him. Oh please, I'm a 65 year old woman with back and knee problems. When i asked his name he wrote Alex on one of the business cards. He lied about his name because when i called the store on Monday I was told they had no Alex working there and that his name is actually EMMANUEL. He was very rude and i don't understand the good reviews. He must have been having a very bad day because he acted in a very histrionic fashion. Suffice to say, i will never shop at Ortho again.

Emmanuel was very knowledgeable and he went above and beyond to make us happy. 100 days trial, no restocking if you want to exchange. Excellent local mattress store! Don’t buy your mattress anywhere else!

Emmanuel was so helpful and knowledgeable throughout our purchasing process. Highly recommend. Very safe buying process, you are given mattress covers to try out all the mattress. Parking is convenient.

Emmanuel is fantastic! He is knowledgeable and polite helping me find a comfortable mattress. He never pushed us to the most expensive brand. They have disposable covers for personal use when trying out the beds!

UPDATE: nothing against Emmanuel, the sales rep, however customer service extends beyond point of sale. Reducing stars from 5 to 3 for the reason written below.

The 3rd party delivery service Ortho Monrovia contracts with is horrible. They do not respect delivery times (we work from home, they called 1 hour ahead and show up in 20min), damaged the box spring when handling, damaged our antique sleigh bed. They were more interested in getting to the weekend vs providing appropriate service to customers who spent upwards of $5500.

Emmanuel was awesome, very helpful. He let us try all different kinds of mattresses and was very thorough with all the information! Great store! Awesome experience! Great customer service! Highly recommended!
