I was on my way back home from watching a great nephew's soccer game. I saw the orwood resort sign on the way back home, and I remembered some 25 years ago, that I water skied quite a bit near there. At the time, it was a tiny little place. Now! Someone has taken this tiny little place and refined it into a very good dining place. It's main business, is camping, boat launching, boat storage and a small restaurant. The restaurant serves very good food, and cocktails if you should desire them. It's a very nice place to hang out, and watch all the nice boats, among other things that usually accompany the boats.

The food was very delicious! They are vegetarian friendly! The drink was a tasty blend of flavors and alcohol. I the avocado toast and F U COVID cocktail was the perfect breakfast. The feta cheese sprinkled on the avocado toast was very tasteful and added lots of flavor.

Honestly don't know why we expected good service, some people snagged our table we were going to be sat at, which we were waiting 45 minutes for. They got to order before us, we didn't even get water, ordered an appetizer then left. I get better service from other places in Discovery Bay.

The restaurant is a GREAT PLACE TO GRAB A MEAL, eat inside or out on the patio. The camping is for RVs only but still a nice spot to be. Definitely a good place to be

There were 13 of us staying at the campground and 11 of us tried the restaurant. Was not disappointed. Great food and the service was exceptional. I would happily go back anytime.

We didnt get to camp there this time, we just launched our boat there. It is the perfect location to launch and hit all the hotspots on the water around Discovery Bay, all the way to Stockton, Sac or even the ocean if you want. We did checkout the camp spots too and I wanna come back to camp. They have sites literally 20 to 30 ft. From the water, with boat docks you can rent and the boat launch is right there too. Looked like they even had a few mini cottages you could rent right next to water too. Boating the area was great, there are lots of families and partiers both out and about. Plenty of gas stations and restaurants on the water although food was not good where we stopped, it was more of a part spot with bar and a band was setting up, I forget the name of the place but it also was near another camping resort. Sorry I will have to get photos next time, I was too busy having fun to remember to stop and take any.

We were looking for a alternative to the Lakes. Have been on river before and wanted something low key. Will be launching soon and update this post.

UPDATE: Wife & I went on a Wednesday, $15 to Launch. Almost no boats when we launched @ 11: 00. Lots of people eating inside/outside at the Ramp. VERY NCE EXPERIENCE. No idea what a weekend looks like.

On a wait list, I ask if there is any way we can sit outside. The hostess says its first come first serve. Okay that would be understandable, but.you then take 8 more big groups that LITERALLY just walked up and asked how long to sit outside. One star because the food was good. The younger girls that are working in the morning during mother's day, need a lesson on how to treat customers.

It is a busy place. The staff was friendly and prompt. The plates are big. The huevos rancheros was seasoned just right. The coffee was hot. You can sit outside also. It is a nice clean place. The restroom was clean. They have drinks available too. There is handicapped parking in back.

Been coming here for years, since 2012, but won't any longer. Came here tonight, 1/30/22, at 8pm, and we were immediately seated. Ordered two raspberry lemon drops and two steak & lobster dinners. About 15 minutes later the bartender guy came over to the table and asked if we ordered drinks and said the tickets didn't print up clearly. Tickets? At a one room hole-in-the-wall restaurant? I told him about the two raspberry lemon drops and he went back to the bar. Minutes later came the steak & lobster dinners, and then finally came the raspberry lemon drops. About 10 minutes later the waitress came around and asked if the food was okay. We asked if they still served bread and salad. She replied, "They didn't bring out your salad? " ‍️ As we were half way through the food she brought out the salads. I asked for a box for the salads. She mentioned it was her first night there. She never asked if we wanted anything else to drink. I would have ordered another three or four of the raspberry lemon drops, just for myself, but if it's not that big of a deal to them, then it's not that big of a deal to me; it's just the loss of a sale. And if the bread, salad and drinks don't make it out before your food gets to the table it's just an indication of deeper issues, IMO. From what I could see there were six tables of people total, including the two of us. The bill came out to $103 (two steak & lobster and two raspberry lemon drop drinks). I left "zero" official tip on the credit card receipt, but $10 cash for the waitress to decide how she wants to tell the story. The food was ok, but we won't be going back. Something there seems to have changed; not sure if it's the management, staffing or the food. I'm glad I had two vodka cranberries at home before leaving for the restaurant because I clearly wasn't going to get a buzz there. I'm sure our chickens will appreciate the leftover salad that we brought home.
