Oscar's Very Mexican Food

Rude guy at the window. Many other mexican resturants in west sac to be having attitude. I wont be wasting my money here again.

Got there 20 minutes prior to them closing. After placing a clearly requested 'dine-in' order once I paid they informed me that it had to be taken to go. Very unprofessional and impolite. Dine elsewhere!

I ordered the carnitas burrito and it was ok. The carnitas meat was more like a pork tenderloin sliced and then grilled and flavorless. All together the burrito was bland. I will try a different place in the area next time but in a pinch the food is Okay.

Oscar's is a great place to eat. Just don't go there when your hungry! Because your going to try to eat the entire serving of what ever it is you bought.and not only does thier food taste pretty good they are not stingy.they give you a lot.

I got the steak super burrito and chips with guacamole and my dad got the beef taco combo. The super burrito was filling and fresh. My dad said the beef tacos were cooked correctly but the meat didn't have a lot of flavor. The chips were really good and the guacamole had good flavor but I personally prefer a chunkier guacamole.

Good place to go and eat Mexican food one thing if you order tacos know that the look like burritos they are alot food

Did not offer cholips that are complimentary, had to request them. Sadly limited options, no shrimp or ground beef and counter person was not even open to talking to me. Sad to be treated like I was not welcome.

Came back after 2 years. Expanded space.
Had a breakfast burrito minus the bacon.
Huge.would order the Mini next time.
Flavor.bland.added salsa.
Had to ask about HEAT at the Salsa Bar!

Went here while staying overnight at a local hotel. Ordered the carne asada plate. The carne was chopped up, and not steak like compared with most carne dishes that comes from similar diners. It did tasted good and moist and not dry. The guacamole was creamy but a little bland. Pricing is fair but a little high for a taqueria.

Visiting from out of state (NC) We can’t get Chili Verde Burritos anywhere near where I live! My sister and I were at the stop light and the sign grabbed our attention “Real Mexican Food”! These Chili Verde Burritos smelled and tasted fantastic! My mouth watered as soon as I smelled the aroma; and the first bite did NOT disappoint.

01/25/23 So I came back to CA in Sept 22 my younger brother passed. I brought my older brother, my sister and her husband to visit Oscar’s on 10/01/22 … I was able to treat everyone. The food was mouth watering-a heavenly delight. A shock to my family my older brother passed unexpectedly on 01/16/23 and in honor of my older brother I brought my sister to Oscar’s. My sister had the Menudo which she raved over and I ordered the Chili Verde burrito. Again this food does NOT disappoint! We sat reminisced and cried. We are heart broken to lose our brothers within the span of 4 months.

Oscar’s Very Mexican Food is VERY good. My go-to is the California Burrito. Free chips and salsa bar with every purchase. The place has an expanded area so there’s never an issue with finding a table. I will definitely come back whenever I’m in the area.
