Way overhyped. The naan with mousse is great. The rest of the food ranged from forgettable to inedible. The mixed drinks were truly awful. The decor and service were mediocre. Given the world class food available in the neighborhood, this doesn't cut it.

They were closed during the pandemic but finally opened. If you’re looking for a restaurant with great interior and great atmosphere, you won’t be disappointed. The menu changes often so don’t rely on the pictures you see on yelp. This place is definitely on the expensive end so if you’re looking for great value, this will not be your choice of restaurant.

Got a reservation confirmation call on Monday for Dec 29th reservation I had. Confirmed. When I arrived at the restaurant today, it was closed. Very unprofessional and handled the reservation system horribly. It shows how they treat their customers

My friends and I went to dinner here and it was absolutely incredible. Chef Jonathan cooked for us and the food was soooooo delicious! We were blown away by the delightful service and ambience. Every dish was made to perfection and there wasn’t one that we didn’t love! Some of our favorites were the potato gnocchi, salmon, avocados, and dumplings. Everything came out in a timely manner by our server and we felt so special dining at Otium. TONS of vegan options. Our friend was vegan and we didn’t even have to ask twice for vegan accommodations. They surprised us with some of their top picks. Love the family style portion sharing because we got to try a little bit of everything! Overall, such an exquisite, hip, and fun restaurant! Definitely coming back and would highly recommend to anyone in LA!

Exceptionallly slow service- what a disappointment. I have rarely been so dismayed by how long it took before I received my first appetizer (1 hour) and my first cocktail (an hour and 15). It really took my enjoyment from the experience when the product is provided so long after the order is made. I can't believe it took 30 minutes for my order to even be made. I am in fact writing this review while waiting about an hour and half to wait for the actual entrees. I may actually be more angry if not for how shocked I was with the service. Sad- I was really looking forward to this for weeks.

Correction- entrees took an hour and 45 minutes. The kicker was when one of the servers dropped off a slice of cake with a candle and wished us a happy birthday. Some poor fellow missed their birthday benediction because they just kept the lit candle slice at the table even after we informed them of the error.

Supper friendly staff. I stop by for a quick drink before a Music Center shift and they quickly found me a seat at the bar. The drink and food were great, all the staff had a smile and cared about there service. I really enjoyed my Sparkling Gamay wine and Burrata Toast.

Great overall experience. The food is great, the venue is amazing and the mood's very cool. The tomato tart is one of the most surprising dishes I've had so far.

I'm sorry, but after being SO excited to try Otium our experience here really missed the mark. The 6 dishes we ordered lacked any continuity with one another and we felt lost in the menu from the jump. Generally it felt like it lacked focus, the indoor dining atmosphere was just okay, and the dishes were overpriced relative to their originality.

This spot is so rad.amazing food, very friendly staff just 5 star service. You can basically close your eyes and randomly pick things with your finger and every dish wouldn’t disappoint! Great date night spot right next to the broad.

It wasn't all rosey unfortunately and there were some misses with the food we ordered hence the 4 rating (Google doesn't do half stars or else I'd rank it 4.5 stars) but overall I would highly recommend it.

The duck breast was on another level, best I've had hands down. Cocktails were good, my wife's favorite was the liver pate, no surprise there. Dessert was also very unique and amazing.

Reservations aren't easy to come by but if you get in, don't pass the chance to go, you'll likely regret it.

This place is incredible! The staff is so fun and pleasant, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the food is to die for.i was here on a work trip, and my coworker brought me here.we shared the naan with truffle butter, red wine braised cabbage, potatoes, duck croquette, honeynut squash, bass, and salmon.everything was cooked to absolute perfection. 10/10 recommend!

We've had great food and great service, Otium usually tops that list. So, it was a great idea to make it a dinner stop! The tomato tart was phenomenal! Very fresh and great mix of flavors.
I would recommend to anyone for almost any occasion. I will be back as well.

Fantastic food. Unique and intriguing flavors, delightfully mixed some traditional dishes executed perfectly. Outstanding service in a great spot downtown.

Try the Naan with chicken liver mousse, it was our dinners highlight. We had the Caviar as a starter as well, ordered another Naan bread to go with it, didn't appreciate the bone marrow nor graded cheeses as a condiment with it. Whipped sour cream, onions, and chives suited so much better and would have been enough with an boiled egg or sourdoughbread. As a main course we had the lobster and ribeye steak. The lobster was fine, though not much actual lobster bites coming with the portion. The ribeye steak was tuff and mainly raw instead of medium rare, we didn't finish the steak. Sides were Otium's potatoes, which were good, but the mushrooms were overly acid and two spoons was enough. Maybe it was because of the busy Friday night but we were definitely looking for a better outcome for a $500+ dinner (for two). P. S.the prosecco by was chosen well by whom ever is the sommelier.

The staff was welcoming and attentive but not intrusive. The food was delicious! The pork chop with grilled lemon along with the braised cabbage was a lighter, more flavorful version of a fall favorite. And watching the hustle in the kitchen was both impressive and entertaining.

Food was bad, music choice was bad and extremely loud. I was at Otium 2 yeas ago and it was great. They must go back to the old way

The experience was quite underwhelming. I had higher expectations considering how much this place was recommended. The best part was the naan and the butter; everything else was mediocre and nothing too special. I appreciate that I can say I’ve tried this place but it’s not one that I’m eager to come back to.

I went to otium for first time and dinner and celebrate birthday to say the least I was disappointed. While the food was good the portions of some dish are very small. The worse part is the speed the food comes out. It took almost 2.5 hours for us to complete the meal. And each dish comes out one at a time at snail pace.
Another thing was the service was horrible. The server was extremely rude and gave us an attitude when we were placing order. The whole experience leads me to not ever wanting to go back again.

Great food cooked well and served superbly. We had a bit of a wait and somehow the kitchen lost our ticket, but the way it was handled by the staff was excellent and despite the delay it was a fantastic food experience. Thank you
