Otoro Sushi reviews
15Value wise, one of the best sushi places in sf. High quality food at better prices than comparable places. Our go-to for good sushi.
Some of the best nigiri we’ve had in the Bay Area! Every type of fish was fresh and pure melt in your mouth quality. On top of that, service was fantastic, even on a busy Saturday night.
Good quality sushi in a small restaurant with good ambience. We showed up an hour before the restaurant closed as we had just flown in to the city. We didn't feel rushed in any way, the servers were kind and welcoming.
Has to be some of the best sushi in SF, which is saying something. Service is always on point and I’ve never had a roll that wasn’t great.
This is our favorite sushi restaurant in Hayes Valley. The specials are creative and delicious. Even the old standbys, like salmon skin rolls, are extra crunchy and tasty. We keep coming back.
Great place! Ambiance is chill and I like the lightning. The service was amazing. Very tasty food! Everything else was delicious.
California roll tasted horrible like tuna or mayonnaise it was bad, there udon was great, and service was as expected.
My favorite sushi restaurant near Hayes Valley. Small, closed on Sundays, but excellent once you get a table.
We had the chefs selection of Sashimi which was super delicious!
They have quite a Sake menu. Our waitress helped a lot to pick the right one for us.
The food here is very fresh and high quality. I was amazed by the varieties of toro. Bluefin tuna toro, yellowfin tuna toro, hamachi belly etc.the also have various types of snapper, eg golden eye snappers, cherry snapper. All are tasted.
Solid sushi, reasonable prices, friendly staff, and neighborly vibe. What's not to love?
Loved the dragon roll and Otoro roll. What surprised us the most actually were some of the non-sushi specials we ordered on a whim. Highly recommend the beef wrapped asparagus if it’s available.
Solid sushi place is SF. Good outdoor seating and friendly staff. Food quality fluctuating a bit.

Ok, this place I delicious! What can I say? ! The smoked salmon on the salt slab was BEAUTIFUL and delicious The house sake was hot as usual. But that chef selection was visually and flavor-fully on point. Many fish I had yet to try, all laid and paired beautifully - no soy sauce required for these clean fishies. Happy to go back and happy to recommend if you're looking for some beautiful food and welcoming hosts.
