Oto's Marketplace reviews
37I love this store! They have some harder to find items than my other favorite, International Market. They also have a great Daiso section and food to go.
Always the freshest fish, freshest meats and freshest produce. Staff is always pleasant and helpful.
If you come from Hawaii this is the go to store for alot of Hawaiian kine food. Laulau podagee sausage etc etc.
Amazing, This is the best Japanese Market out there, tons of different ramen and ramune, also beautiful packaged snacks, fish, squid and more. We were so excited just being there (: Definitely money well spent going here, pretty wide selection of chopsticks and more cute items! We will be ciming here more often.
Lots of good stuff here you won''t find anywhere else though i do wish they would sell fresh wasabi for sushi.they only have the kind in tubes.i cant seem to find it anywhere for purchase.
Has everything Japanese that you need to make a meal. Lots of Korean spices and sauces too. The employees are always so happy and courteous. They have sashimi grade fish and $5 sushi rolls. They don't have a huge produce selection but it's perfect for our needs. They also have kitchenwares and a nice selection of Japanese beers. It's definitely a one-stop-shop if you're planning a Japanese inspired meal, down to the bowls and spoons.
Love this place! Cool Asian snacks, drinks, daiso products, and lots of other things. They even have anime funko pops.
Excellent store for all your Asian Influence meals. They also have several items relating to Hawaiian cuisine. Friendly staff.
We drove all the way from fresno to go shopping at Oto's market. They have everything. Spent a lot of money there!
Iike this store, its to bad the store isn't on a main public transportation hub. I only get there if I get a ride from a family member, that's want to go.
This is the only japanese supermarket here so nothing to compare it to.it's clean, nice choices, and the fresh meat and seafood is great - different than your typical area supermarkets.
Excellent selection of Japanese goods and foods, and most of the staff speaks Japanese quite fluently. Sometimes I have run into CUSTOMERS who are rude or unpleasant, but I suspect that's just an anomaly.
Check it out!
One of my favorite grocery stores in Sacramento. The employees are some of the friendliest people who go out of their way for excellent customer service. I can constantly find produce that is ripe and affordable. If you have an opportunity, you don't want to miss out on Oto's.
Large selection of Japanese foods both packaged and fresh. Also has sushi quality fish for sale, and small selection of hot foods, and you can eat at their 2 or 3 tiny tables mainly for eat and run.
Oto's is the place to go for most asian grocery related. It's primarily Japanese food and items they carry. Such as mochi, dango, sake, or mirin. The staff is always friendly and easily approachable if you have questions. It's a decent sized store I can always find what I need for my cooking at home. They even sell reusable bags and miscellaneous items for your household or kitchen items. Oto's even has pre cut fish for sashimi and sushi purposes.
Great small store! If you like Japanese food this place has the supplies. Plus their produce is FRESH. They actually pick out their fruits and vegetables BEFORE they purchase them. Takes extra time costs you a few pennies more but well worth it. Do yourself a favor and try sometime new and different.
Best and biggest grocery store for Japanese food. Sushi-grade fish, Japanese cuts of beef, chicken, roe, squid, etc. Lots of snack foods, noodles, sauces, cooking oils and sweets. Compact appliances, gardening tools, kitchenwares, chop sticks, ceramics, toys, collectibles. It can get crowded but there are several types of shopping carts of varying sizes to use depending on how much you plan to get and how easy you want to navigate the store. Polite and helpful staff, overall great store!
Great little market with all kinds of hard to find Japanese food/ingredients. Great quality meat and veggies. The bento boxes they make are amazing. Not the cheapest place ever, but you get what you pay for.
This is probably the only place in Sacramento to get authentic Japanese ingredients. I find myself here far more often than I would care to admit.
