As an owner, this is a good platform to rent my RV. The performance rating system can be frustrating because it seems the data will just "disappear" taking you out of "pro status. " However, the app is good, the payout to owners is better than the other platforms, and overall it's pretty good. I wish we could pull the reviews for renters because I know I do reviews on my renters but can't ever seem to pull them when someone rents my RV.

If you rent on this site- hope that you never have a claim. This site will do EVERYTHING. I MEAN EVERYTHING to avoid charging the renter. It took a month of me literally harassing the platform for a $41.95 payment. Many may say "it was only $41.95" but it was the point of- the renter owed it (they forgot a bunch of things and we had to mail them/this was the postage). Finally, we got the payment and a NASTY email from the Outdoorsy platform that I would be out of luck if this happened again. So.for renters that get mad at owners and say there is a lack of customer service, we as owners are stuck between a rock and a hard place because we cannot take payment off platform as this will ban us from Outdoorsy, but if we try to get payment on platform with proof such as receipts etc- Outdoorsy will not willingly release payment to the owner. We will be looking for another platform to rent our RV on for the 2024 season!

Do not use this app. They are very unprofessional and manipulative. They tried to charge me $430 twice for a rental that the host canceled on me. Then tried to charge my card $500 twice for a deposit when I already paid the $500 deposit for the previous rental. Stay away from this app at all cost!

I was confused by the description of rental dates. I incorrectly read it as the nights I would want to rent, so put in the last night as the day before I wanted to return it. It would be better described as "pick up date" and "return date. "

The host never showed I contacted him and Outdoorsy when I arrived early after 40 minutes I was given a second address, I went there and waited another 30mins an no body came.

Customer service is readily available. The agent was friendly, knowledgeable and patient. She was very helpful and informative. I definitely appreciate how she made me feel taken care of.

My husband and I rented an RV for a fall trip in New England. The entire experience was amazing - the RV was first class in every way and the hosts were great communicators. This was our first time using this site/app. We highly recommend it!

Excellent place for a first timer to rent an RV. The feedback part at the end is a little clunky, but overall it was great to use. Easy to pick an RV, chat with the owner, get things all set up, pick up and drop off. Very smooth. Will definitely use again.

Good and bad experience here

BEWARE RV OWNERS Outdoorsy takes a long time to resolve a dispute. I had submitted photo and documented evidence. Outdoorsy will make you jump through many, many hoops and at the end your problem may not be resolved. In 1 case they offered a credit toward future revenue.

You can recover some costs renting on this site.
Keep accurate records
Take photos and video of every inch of your RV
Be sure your settings are correct and that you understand where a potential Renter is going. Little things like not having a fee for over miles can crush profit while wearing your rig out.
Complete app checkout and check in exactly as it requires filling in every box.

When our RV broke down in a medium sized college town, on a Friday well before 5pm, Outdoorsy was unable to get us their promised Roadside Assistance. Ever. This was summer time. We were stuck in an RV that (thank God) still had a working generator, so our kids, dog, and ourselves survived with an AC that could keep the temp down to about 95. (Later in the trip, down to about 99.) But all Outdoorsy could tell us was that we would be liable for the cost of the RV if we failed to return it to the owner by the promised date, that they were “trying” to get us help (until after 5pm, when they finally told us no help was coming), and that maybe the RV owner could help us find someone local to look at the engine. When we complained about this, they insisted over and over that it was a shame the third party that handles their Roadside Assistance program failed us, but it really had nothing to do with Outdoorsy. Maybe we should take it up with THEIR customer service department.

Worst company ever. Does not want to pay for damages that should be covered under insurance and fake claim an interior coverage that does not exist.

There was an issue with a promo and Kev ironed it out. He kept me fully updated and resolved the issue. Thank you Kev. You are a man if your word.

Great service and a great way to do a getaway. You can find a rental in practically any part of the country and then start planning a trip. We had a great time with ours, and the host we rented from was terrific. Very glad we came across this app.

What was most disturbing was that we were only a few weeks out when we discovered we would not have a trailer. In fact, I don't know we would have known that our reservation was canceled until I sent a message affirming that we were still on for our reservation. That was the most irritating item. If I had not reached out to the trailer owner, we would have showed up in the campground with no place to slearp.

I rented my RV through Outdoorsy. The renter had an accident and Outdoorsy has left me in the dark regarding my claim. It is over 5,000 in damages. The renter purchased insurance and paid a security deposit. I have not received any answers or payments or advice from Outdoorsy and the claim was filed over 2 weeks ago. I think their insurance is a scam and they do not stand by their product. They have not released the security deposit and have not processed the claim. They just don't care.

The couple times talking with support, they didn’t have answers, all they said is there are some new things going on. I stated all I want is some answers to help me and my new guests. All the agent had to do was explane where to click, but he didn’t know where to show me.after i hung up is when i found it and that was the wrong information, i had asked him a different question, so he wasn’t listening or he did’t know what he was doing!
