Super tasty all around! I got the Day and Night coffee mocktail because I'm a big fan of Oolong tea (and coffee of course), and it did not disappoint. I also got one of the tiramisu boxes, perfect combo for my breakfast!

Out of the ordinary drinks here! Get them fresh and early. We tried a number of drinks with fresh pomelo, durian, orange, coconut milk. Omg what a refreshing change from the usual, when you want an iced drink on the sweeter side— this is amazing. Staff will carefully explain everything. Good pricing too. And the croissants are selected from an artisan baker. Check it out!

Disappointed in what should have been their flagship product - the roasted banana latte that adorns their printed material was really just a regular latte with a lightly sugared banana on top of it when I expected the latte to have at least some form of banana flavoring. Might just be all hype or for the gram, I dunno. Would come back to try other stuff though

Our new favourite coffee shop on Valencia! Super unique and cute selections of drinks (both iced and hot), and you can custom them to every detail. The staffs are super friendly and attend to detail. During the weekend, this place could be pretty packed, but the line moves relatively quick. I also love the fact they provide iced water while you wait in line and the cute mirror in store. Super cute seasonal drinks too!

Ahhh, this is such a welcome addition to SF! I truly am so bored of the city’s default coffee shops — same menus of limited options, no customizations, no flavor varieties, all SO serious and no fun. I had the toasted banana latte and loved it! Pleasantly surprised that there were no added sweeteners and only had pure banana purée, no artificial flavors. It was perfect.

Amazing lattes. I got the durian latte which if you love durian is amazing! It has chunks of durian in it. Can’t wait to come back and try their avocado and banana lattes.

Order at the kiosk, sometimes it gets busy and there is only one person working doing the ordering and making the drinks. You can make their life easier by ordering at the kiosk.

Also, bring your own cup for $. 50 off and better for the environment!

Take-out only specialty coffee place with a wide range of pastries (ube croissant, Korean garlic, coconut almond croissant etc etc).

Pro tip: you get 50% off your drinks order if you bring your own container.

I got the durian latte - it was not overly sweet and I could definitely taste the durian flavor and durian pulp.

Also tried the ube croissant and the croque monsieur. Both were delicious and the staff heated the bread up for us which made it even better.

Outset is a steal with its $5 ultra-specialty coffee in a city where prices are sky-high. The staff is knowledgeable, and their recipes strike a balance between unique flavors and not being overly sweet.

While I enjoyed my cup, I couldn't help but imagine the potential for more retail options, pre-made drinks, picnic packs, a loyalty program, clothing (orange and Giants go hand in hand!), and i
Fingers crossed for an outdoor patio permit in the near future as well.

Despite these wishes, this spot is quickly becoming a neighborhood go-to.

Outset is a fantastic addition to the Valencia corridor. In addition to the standard drinks, they have a bunch of fun and unique drinks that are definitely worth trying. My favorite is the banana latte. Staff are all friendly and service is quick and efficient.

Love the concept and unique spin on lattes, and so far had a few good options. I'll flip to a five-star when they get some patio seating out front for us that like to linger, visit and read at coffee shops.

UPDATE: oh wow - the Avocado Latte today was so delicious! Subliminally i was thinking guacamole but of course it was pure AVO and loved how it wasn't too sweet. I'll definitely order this again. THANKS!
Ventured out to Valencia one morning and happened upon Outset. The staff was super friendly and helped us select an orange americano and an ocean breeze latte (how often do we get to drink blue!). So happy to have found this new place. Their pastries will be next! Ube croissant for sure, paired with a durian latte!

I’ve been to outset probably 5+ times over the past week and a half and i am the BIGGEST fan of this coffee shop—high quality, great tasting, and creative drinks, super friendly staff, and the cutest branding.for their coffee drinks you can even choose between a colombian and ethiopian roast which i feel like is above and beyond most other coffee shops:).

also, the grand opening deals going on right now quite literally made my day (right now you can get a latte for $1 on monday!), and at all times you can get discounts on your drinks for bringing your own mug:). Highly recommend!

First time trying the Caramelized Banana Latte (iced) and hot version, all I have to say is that it did not disappoint. The hot version with Oatmilk was a tad bit sweeter since the iced version I decided to keep it with the whole milk, will definitely try it next time with oat or coconut (+$1) milk.
I also order the croque monsieur and it just melted in my mouth, so delicious and I highly recommend!

Very good experience. Coffee tastes great. Servers are really friendly and patient to introduce their products and understand your preferences. Latte art was so beautiful
