I am a therapist who has been specializing in providing family interventions throughout the country for addiction, mental health, trauma, personality disorders and eating disorders for 30 years. I have had the privilege of knowing the founder/owner of Pace Recovery Center, Lenny Segal both personally and professionally for over 20 years and I know him to be a very caring, ethical, and experienced therapist who is very committed to helping others. I consider Pace to be one of the best extended care treatment programs in the country. I’ve had the opportunity to refer many young men and their families to Pace over the years since its first opened, and Lenny, and his clinical team always go to great lengths to provide exceptional care, clinically sophisticated treatment and excellent long term care to young men who are often struggling with addiction and difficult mental health, trauma, family/relationship problems, and/or relapse.

Very bad experience. Clinical director was not a good man. Very hard to open up to people always verbally and mentally abusive. Just double think when your kids phone gets taken a week or 2 before discharge and they start asking for more payments because the kid is “doing bad at the moment. ” Remember people. They are a for profit company, exploitative in this capitalism (gotta be). The ones forced into this “health center, ” will remember this trauma for the rest of their lives. Also, the clinical director told one of my friends that he would be “dead by day 100” when he left before the clinical director thought was right. It’s honestly a power trip and he loves it… it’s funny. God bless that mans ego with already suicidal patients. If California wasn’t a dual party consent state my experiences would be viral right now. Clearly, they thought that one through…

I feel I was taken advantage of by this program and the experience left me worse off. The people who own and operate this business are out of touch with reality and morally callous.stay away at all costs and do not trust anything these people say. Dishonest and fraudulent business

The young men I have referred to their program have been very pleased with the care and support they were provided. Many of them had positive life changing experiences beyond what they thought was possible.

The staff and upper management have zero morals and ethics the program is a revolving door there is no plan to help the patients everything is over priced and they truly don’t help at all I’ve been to many programs and this one is a racket for insurance money it’s appalling they are still in operation. If any future patients see this post please don’t waste your time and money.
