Dr. Bakhtiary has been an answered prayer to my dad, Michael Ayers. My dad has expressed Dr. Bakhtiary's professionalism and confidence and his innate ability to clearly communicate on a level that can be understood. The additional time and care Dr. Bakhtiary has taken to ensure that he is seen on a regular and consistent basis is unprecedented. My dad said he can sleep better at night because he believes he is in the best hands. THANK YOU, Dr. Bakhtiary for all you are doing! We highly recommend Pacific Eye Institute and Dr. Bakhtiary for your loved ones!
It was a great experience because the staff were not only professional and courteous but really caring down to earth friendly and helpful. I was amazed and I let them know how much there caring helped me to relax during my procedure. I highly recommend your office and will be telling my local dentist about my experience.
Have been seeing this doctor for many years and the wait times were often quite long. Something has changed in their procedures and it seems more efficient. I find myself in and out of my appointments in less than an hour. I'm called back minutes after my arrival, the preliminary exams are done by the doctor's assistant, I am then told to sit in waiting area while the eye drops take effect, and several minutes later I'm called back again! When they tell me the doctor will be right in, they mean that. Dr. Roeske appears a few minutes later. I'm amazed. He is always attentive, answers my questions, and doesn't rush through my exam. I'm quite pleased with the changes.
I had lobby wait times of at least one hour for both of my appointments beyond my appointment times before I was seen by any medical staff member. I was not the only person in the lobby who complained about this. This is unacceptable except if you are in an emergency room.
Before writing this review I called them to talk about this with the office manager. They were not in so I talked to a lead named Paula. She said that they do let patients know the exam time could take one to two hours. I explained I wasn't complaining about the exam time. I was complaining about my lobby wait time being at least one hour beyond my actual appointment time.
I then explained that I asked my doctor to send me to a different ophthalmologist next time and that my lobby wait time had been less than ten minutes. I explained that this is what your competition is doing.
The two stars are that they do have the right medical equipment to do eye exams on you but the lobby wait times are just not worth it for me. I have a feeling that they must overbook patients in case someone cancels at the last minute. Although I understand this kind of scheduling philosophy I do not approve of telling patients that the exam could take one to two hours when the lobby wait time is at least one hour alone!
I just had eye surgery there 5 days ago. The surgery went well but after that it was all downhill. They are very friendly people but not sensitive at all to a person's pain needs. I went back to the doctor 5 days after surgery, because I was experiencing so much pain still. I explain that I've hardly had any sleep in the last 5 days and I have a company to run to where I need to be sharp and coherent. I just asked for some pain meds to help me sleep at night. My request was totally overlooked and all I got was a sample of natural tears. I don't ever write Yelp reviews but I felt this to be so discouraging.
AMAZING! Have had glasses for more than 40 years and no longer need glasses. I have had no post op problems and in aontj had a little better than 20/20 vision in my eyr.the staff is great & Dr. Pamela Bekendam is outstanding. Best attitude, great bedside manner and a great Surgeon.
If you are having eye concerns or have cataracts, this is the place for you. I love this place and highly recommend it to everyone.
