Pacific Inn, Monterey CA

Price-performance fits here. Rooms modern, large, very clean. Check in friendly. Location great for an overnight stay. Restaurants nearby. Unfortunately, the rooms are also very noisy, as is the case in almost all motels in the USA.

This place was good enough, but definitely not great, and the wifi was wonky. Super comfy pillows!

Renovated M (!) otel, wannabe hotel.

Rooms are decent for a motel, rushed and cheaply renovated but since it's done recently it's clean and new.
Rooms are large I must say.

Not quite soundproof (can hear upstairs clearly) but that's a general problem in the US with wooden construction.

This should be the (minimum) standard for all motels in the US, unfortunately there are much worse around. However, that does not justify all the 5-star ratings for this one.

Rooms were okay for the price. Beds were clean and the bathrooms were nice. The location of this place was incredible. Very close to a dinner which services great food with low prices and big portions. There’s also a kitchen right on the property incase walking 4 minutes isn’t for you. Also convenient access to multiple gas stations and grocery stores within walking distance.

The service was incredible. The person who checked us in, Karun, was not only friendly and nice but extreme helpful through our two night stay. Karun made our experience great.

Stayed here for 5 nights. Location is very convenient IMO mainly due to the laundromat located right across the street with reasonable prices. CONS the parking is a little tight on a busy night. In my case, every night was busy. There was no toilet paper holder, but maybe that was just my room. And the on site washer was broken, hence the laundromat. Would stay again as the staff was very pleasant to deal with and the room/ linens were clean.

Very friendly staff, our renovated room was surprisingly large, well furnished and very clean.
You can hear the inhabitants of the neighboring room very well, you have to be lucky here and catch quiet people.

Large, clean rooms, comfortable beds, hot water, friendly staff, and updated furnishings. A motel setup with more of a hotel feel. The parking lot is a little small, but I didn’t have any issue finding a spot both nights I was there. Coin laundry and vending on site (accepts cards). It is a short and convenient drive to the touristy Monterey area. The only downside was some road noise, but that wasn’t a bother for me. Would stay here again!

Great place to stay with newly renovated rooms and great location for food, coffee and shopping all nearby.

The bathroom was really nice but the room itself was quite small and not so clean (we found some hairs). Also the staff was not friendly.

A very pleasant hotel! Very friendly staff.

A big advantage of the hotel is that it is a few minutes drive from the port of Monterey and 1 hour from San Francisco.

There are plenty of dining options around the hotel.

As for the room itself, care products are available in the room and you sleep like a baby.

Another advantage is that the parking is free and you can park in front of your room.

If we are back in the area we will definitely come back here.

From the outside rather inconspicuous and outdated. However, the rooms are renovated and modern. Big plus: there are USB charging options right next to the bed and fly screens on the window. Everything super clean and plenty of storage space. Despite the location, it was very quiet at night so we slept well. Absolute recommendation!

The rooms are spacious and well equipped: fridge, microwave, television, wardrobe, desk.

Regarding the air conditioning / heating: a word is indicated on the heating saying that the wall box must be used: it does not work. I was quite cold the first night (we are in May but it was 10° outside). Then my friends figured out how to turn on the heater anyway.at the heater itself.

The bed is extremely comfortable! I slept like a baby.

The bathroom (PRM here) : very pretty and large. The disabled seat was unfortunately broken. The toilets are in the bathroom.
Make-up remover wipes and care products available.

A negative point would be the poor soundproofing. I heard my neighbors sneezing and talking until late at night.hard after more than 18 hours of travel.

However, I spent two pleasant nights there.

Very clean and well kept hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the room had nice amenities like shampoo etc. Plus tissues and makeup removal wipes. Very safe feeling area and we were given a parking pass for our dashboard. Breakfast not included but the Cafe in the same parking area was excellent

Came here for our honeymoon. The staff are quite friendly and very accommodating! The room itself was alright (not disabled friendly) ; the location is good. The biggest issue is the parking- the parking lot feels like a maze to traverse. They have two disabled spots up front. I'd probably stay here again, but in a disabled room next time

Not sure you can call this a hotel as it has more of a motel ambience and amenities. It's far better in quality than a motel 6 in cleanliness and comfort, but not to the standards that I'd expect from a Comfort Inn. First issue I encountered was the fish smell that greeted me upon entering the lobby and the second was the thin walls made it easy to hear the activities the occupants staying in the room above mine. Location of the Inn is decent and is approximately 3 miles away from the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Still a good budget stay when visiting the area for a weekend stay.
