Pacific Motor Inn - San Jose reviews
14You get what you pay for with rooms. A clean bed is all you can ask for here. No coffee or cups, only bar soap and towels in room. Great location, walking distance to many bars open late. Slow customer service.
Clean room, scheduled cleaning (maybe not daily), check in/out 24/7. Convenient location for traveling as near bus and train station. Near adobe, mariott. Affordable price when compared to the surrounding
Rude stuff, no cups or utensils available, dusty rooms, hired old people for cleaners probably paying them minimum wage. On top of this they have NO WIFI in this "hotel". Avoid it!
Trust me I am not lies. Don’t ever stay at this hotel, the owner was rude to me because I just asking about checking in early and it’s turn him to being racism says to me “ My English is bad, my accent is horrible and said he’s not welcome “GAY” (He’s not even white guy) the hotel looks falling apart. I actually booked for 2 nights and he said to me last thing is I am not pay that much to his hotel….
It is not taken care of, the rooms are not pleasant and they have problems with the internet, in addition to that it is extremely expensive for what it is
The hotel online looks decent, but the complete opposite in person. The hotel was literally falling apart. Dirty room, dirty sheets, horrible host. Not friendly staff. You can hear the next room over from yours. The area infested with homelessness make sure you lock your doors. Never again will I book a room with them.
But it was all a lie. No breakfast, no gym, no pool open at 80 degrees+ Oh and the wifi was weak as. Feel so ripped off.
Clean decent rooms, within walking distance to many places and things to do in downtown San Jose
Very disappointed in the staff, me and my husband were rudely confronted by I think the manager, after we were on the road for so long we decided to see if we could check in early, we walked into the lobby, sign said be back in 10 and so both of us really had to use the restroom so my husband went looking for them, as you can see in the picture theres a door to there office and two other doors in the lobby my husband opened the doors that weren’t labeled to see which was the restroom, as soon as we did we were greeted very rudely by I believe there manger who was training another coworker, based off of his choice of words he pretty much accused me and my husband of crossing the line by looking for the bathroom, in a “public lobby”, I wasn’t pleased at all by the way he handled it, none of the front doors said do not enter, he told us the door we opened was to the gym, and I guess looking back if we got yelled at for opening the public gym to the hotel, maybe there’s something in that room that they shouldn’t be doing? Anyways we were ready to cancel right after but I wouldn’t get my money back so we were forced to stay, I would not recommend this place nor come back to again in the future based off of how unprofessional the manger was here, I’m sure they get a lot of homeless or unwanted guest entering the hotel due to the downtown area, but the way he treated us right away was not okay!
Cheap cost, cheap room is what you get updated by trashed
I will give a detailed review of this inn to give justice to their service and in the hopes it would help other customers in the future.
Cheap accommodation. It is 8mins away by car to SJC airport. You can literally see the planes flying through outside your room (see pics for reference). Check in is at 3pm however if any rooms are available you can check in earlier. We were able to check in at 2: 30pm. Although we tried checking in at 1: 20pm but we got denied which is understandable. The front desk people were nice and accommodating. The lady who checked us in asked us for any room preference and was able to provide it to us. Kudos to her! Room was spacious and the bed was big and comfortable enough. Fridge and microwave were available. The door lock is secure using a card key. By the looks of it, they have upgraded it from the old style. However, the AC needed upgrading. It was too loud and couldn’t make the room warm so we just relied with the bed blanket. There was a working desk with a lamp that had a usb and regular outlet which was pretty convenient. Flat tv and huge facing the bed. There was a closet with iron and iron board. Beautiful sink and mirror with good lighting. Complimentary soaps, shampoo and lotion are available. Two body towels and bath mat are provided. Hot water in the shower was functional. Location of this inn is safe. And lastly, you can hear your neighbor rooms if they are too loud (video included for reference).
I have been wanting to stay here, and I have to say, I like my stay. Right around the corner from all the best night spots in San Jose. The Sofa district. Plus, the coffee shop at the corner has some really delicious doughnuts and pastries. (CC only)
Our rooms were not ready until after six even though they told us to check in at 3. They said "The maid works on her own schedule. "
It's hard to be more central to a good time in San Francisco. Adjacent Chinatown you can smell dumplings from the aging dual-tenant balconies (cute!) It's also harder still to get a free parking spot overnight, count that perk!
This place has leaned so heavily into tans rusts and browns it beats your boomer's childhood homes for midcentury truth and weirdly western. It screams 1972 Boca. It is also as clean as your Nana could get that fading upholstery and 50-layer lacquer and weird off-beige. And I mean spotless.
The ice machine worked. Staff were professional and reserved. It was a super bargain. It's about as ideal a 2-star as it gets.
