Gastropub Pacific PourHouse reviews
18Really felt like Chef Ramsey on this one. Ordered the buttered crispy skillet fried ribeye and will definitely not be eating this. Frozen piece of meat, instant mash potatoes, no bread or anything. Steak had the good ole rubbery texture and zero taste. I would not leave a review like this but folks don't spend $30 for this item. Wife's salmon was good, she said but I would have been a lot happier at the Texas road house with a real piece of meat. Oh well, live and learn!
Great vibe. Great food and drinks until we got outside to our car to find it was broken into! Thanks Union Landing. The cop came quick, like in 2 minutes after calling 911. Why? ! She literally was in the same shopping complex, if you’re not familiar, Texas Roadhouse for the same problem…another car got broken into! Maybe PPH should move outta Union Landing…just sayin.
Phenomenal burgers and a must visit for their rotating taps! Not only did they have super high quality ingredients (the hangover had great pork/thick cut bacon on it but also they had a number of beers/drinks that I’ve never had before! I definitely recommend stopping in!
Great selection of local brews w/ a decent menu full of healthy choices. You pour your own brew off a long wall of taps & are charged by the total number of ounces poured during your visit. Slick concept!
Worst place ever. All of my family agree that we will never come back here. Horrible food, insanely overpriced menu items, horrible service, food horrible food. This place is only ment to get people drunk, while bring drunk, many people don't care about the food. It's a scam and I highly recommend that nobody goes here. Your better off going to tge local McDonald's.
Friendly staff, plenty of TV's playing various sports events and a movie, R&B music playing quiet enough for background noise while not drowning out conversations. Food seemed a little pricey for what it was. It might be normal for the Bay Area? The bowl my salad came in was one of those obnoxious lopsided ones where it was a struggle to keep my food from spilling onto the table every time I poked it with my fork. Not world ending, but pretty annoying. Beer selection was okay. About 4 taps were out of order or empty. All the beers I had were nice and cold, but either super foamy or flat. (One of the pictures attached shows a beer after I poured over half a pin of foam out and tried again) I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again, but it was convenient after driving 11 hours today and it being walking distance from my hotel.
Fun take on a pour house where you get to pour your own beers and pay by the ounce. Had the bison and hangover burgers. These were good but we did have some cheese paper left behind inside one of the burgers. Our server was really nice but they felt understaffed.
It was a great place to hang out with your people.
Only thing I disliked was that most of the beer taps were out of order/ not working.
The food was not good and half of the beers on the self-service pour were out. The beers that were there were not anything special-Guinness, Drakes, etc. Not bad beers at all, but I guess I was hoping for exotic or new beers that are not so mainstream.
As a reference, we had loaded fries, sliders, and jambalaya. Sliders tasted weird-something with the grease; the cheese on the fries was not fully melted and was just too much; and the Jamba was not seasoned well.
One and done for us.
It's a self-pour tap room, plus plus. 24 domestic and international beers, Lager, stouts, cider, IPAs. Wine and cocktails also served. They also have full meals and snacks. Food is not bad at all! Glad that there's a place to have all this in a sleeper town like the TriCity (Fremont, Newark, Union City).
This was a little date night before we went home! I found this place of course on yelp! When I first walked in I was greeted right away which was good and we were able to pick our own table which I liked a lot. Once we sat down we had to scan our menus with our phone. The atmosphere had good vibes and of good cheer. The Tvs were on and music. The restaurant was also clean which I liked that alot to. We started off with an appetizer of 10 wings half garlic parm/ BBQ, for our entrée I got garlic shrimp crab pasta that tested very good, and the kabob plate with chicken/ lamb it came with salad and yellow rice. The waiter was great we got everything that we needed and the food was good overall. The place is good for beer lovers because they have a wall of 22 flavors of beer! The beer is bottomless great great deal! So come hungry get some great appetizers and get your cheers on lol
Catfish was excellent. 3 beers were out. Great they had one of Das Brew's beers but with the Triple Black was not sold out.
My family and I ate dinner here. There were tables available when we arrived. Their food are really good and unique. We got our order within 5-10 minutes.
Spacious indoor space and outdoor space as well. Good collection of beers and friendly staff.
Note the mandatory 18% service fees and tax on bill+service fees.
I love the idea, but the day we were there (Black Friday about 2pm) at least half the kegs were empty! I'm quite picky, so my 'deluxe' burger just had cheese on it, which meant I could really taste the patty. And it wasn't good. Also I'm really sick and tired of restaurants that offer "garlic fries" that turn out to be some really nice, crispy fries, buried underneath a couple of tablespoonfuls of rough chopped raw garlic! I wouldn't choose to go here again, but would accompany friends if they wanted to go.
Nice location with a wide selection of beers and very good food. We went on a Sunday afternoon and the service was good and the environment pretty chill. They had the football games on the screens and the food was spot on. I would have to say some of the best french fries that I have had in a long time. The beer selection was large and could satisfy most people coming to choose.
Food, drink and ambiance are really good. However, the ladies who served the late lunch shift (around 2: 30ish) on 9/18 were extremely LAZY and uninviting. It was our first time here and our server didn’t bother to explain how the self serve beer works. Everytime we needed something, we had to try to catch their attention BOTH servers were busy on their PHONES! Neither bothered to check in or even give us the check! Awful customer service that makes you NOT want to come back, regardless of the quality of beer and food.
The chef didn't know the difference between flats and drums. He needs to be fired How and the hell you cooking chicken wings and don't know flats?
