Pacific Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital reviews
11Went there with a urgent care visit for my dog. Vet and nurse were super nice. It was fast, super easy and not even expensive. When I need an ER vet, this is where I will be bringing him if I need to.
I took my dog here when he was having some problems and I can’t say nice enough things. They really took great care of us and we’re so understanding and tried to help in every way possible. Dr. Sia answered all questions I had, called me back when I had concerns, and was truly amazing during a tough time. These guys are awesome.
These folks are great! The receptionist on the phone was the first person of many hospitals I talked with that was kind and actually made sense!
The price of 169 for an emergency meeting was good. They offered a lot of helpful advice. The doctor was kind and considerate and then nurse aid was too!
Highly recommended!
All the staff are so incredibly friendly. They've helped us with a few of our babies. They work fast and efficient and truly care.
Terrible experience! We took our French Bulldog there as an emergency. He had been vomiting for two days and not eating. We were told we needed to remain outside in the car and someone will come in and check us in. The technician came to our car and told us that he looked a little dehydrated and would be one hour or sooner before we could see a doctor. We decided to wait in the car. It was a warm day and our dog continued to vomit. One hour went by, two hours, we finally called and was informed that it could be possibly another hour. My husband was extremely upset, we saw many dogs come and go. We told the receptionist that our dog was getting worse. It was an emergency! Finally after 3 hours we were able to see a doctor. I find it extremely contradictory that the sign by the hospital says "Compassionate Care" Is it really? When your animal is left outside in the parking lot vomiting for 3 hours? They lied to us about the wait time and did the same thing to this poor lady we were talking to, her dog was also very sick and had to wait 3 hours.
We brought our senior dog here because he had blood in his urine. Staff told us it would be 2-3 hours to be seen. We elected to wait as it was a holiday weekend. They lock the clinic door and make you wait in the parking lot. After 5 hours and multiple inquiries someone finally told us that we would have to wait additional time due to more serious cases that had come in. So so frustrating. We went to Veterinary Emergency Group in San Ramon and were treated the complete opposite. Go there!
My dog had punctured his leg on Saturday morning and after spending 4 hours at another vet hospital, I walked out and went directly over to Pacific Vet. They were so kind and treated my dog within 45 minutes. The employees were considerate and lovely. Dr Rose was fantastic. I will most certainly go back.
I am so so impressed, and happy with this vet! I have taken several of my four dogs there on different occasions, they are so attentive, so caring, answer all of your questions… With a smile on their face. Shout out to Todd and Anna at the front desk who talked me off the ledge last night w my dog having heat exhaustion. They are patient, and they are beyond thorough. I have been to a lot of vets over the years with all of my dogs, and this one is the best. And a special shout out to Dr. Nohava who took care of my first child Sami all last night and just called me to give me an update-and she is going above and beyond for my baby girl (who is actually 16). Thank you for caring so much!
*******Unfortunately, I am editing this at a later date because I have now had TWO bad experiences with two different front desk people there. I am lowering to four stars. Why receptionists hang up on you and are rude is so confusing to me. I wish they would get people who care.
This place is wonderful! I called several times with questions and they were patient, helpful and kind. I decided to bring dog in and glad I did! They took such good care of him and was very easy. He was in much pain from a ripped foot nail, now he's in no pain walking around no problem. I'm grateful. Thank you so very much!
So afraid they are not going to get paid you sit in the car for over 2.5 hours. Instead of being able to go home, then come back
We had the BEST experience tonight- couldnt wait to drive home and review.
She came out to the car and gave us a very detailed, candid, and clear explanation of the tests, possibilities, and options for us.
Cannot recommend enough- would probably go here before another vet closer to us! Thank you!
