Really enjoyed my lesson with Tim! Covered not only a variety of paddling techniques, but also board control, maneuvering in the marina, and preparing for ocean paddles. Will definitely be coming back

If you head down to Marina Del Rey to rent a paddle board, you'll find tons of places renting them out. You want to go to this one. They have good boards, spend time teaching you what you need to know, and are fair.

Tim is awesome. Great teacher & coach. He was excellent with my daughter too. Very knowledgeable and great at teaching safety which is why I took the class. Extremely worth the price we paid. We thought this was the only lesson we wanted but We both can’t wait to actually learn more with Tim now! So perfect for teen extracurricular activity too! We saw Sea Lions & Lots of birds. Beautiful ️

Tip it may look cold but you get hot quick. Don’t over dress like us! We are alway cold and it was 55 degrees out but we both still wish we had worn shorts and a simple long sleeve. Sun screen up even if it’s overcast because when that sun pops through it’s HOT!

This place is awesome. It was my first time out trying out SUP sport and it was fun! We had a rad instructor who was super accommodating with our group time and our family. We got a crash course and learned the basics.
The Marina De Rey beach is an awesome to learn because you have a spot tuck in away from the ocean and you learn in the “kiddie pool” area. Our instructor was super kind and kept on encouraging us, and would give us pointers to each one individually along the way. He taught us what to do and what not to do (which is just as important). Basically, go here!

Tim and his crew were great. Very organized and safety minded. Taught my 11 year old to love SUP. Good quality equipment.

Overall Great experience. It was our first time paddle boarding and the quick lesson before getting out on the water was extremely helpful. Would highly recommend!

Martin gave us a great introductory lesson before letting us loose in the water. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Boards are in great condition.

Great! Keith is very kind and a good teacher. It was a very good paddle tour on the marina.

Not very friendly to beginners who made reservation online. The address given in the email is totally misleading. If you are going to this paddle session, please be aware that the meet up location is NOT 14110 Palawan Way. That's just a restroom and the real meet up location should be 40 feet away on the beach where the tent is. Not sure why they put a wrong address in the email. Anyways, we missed the intro session due to the wrong address and went on board with some minimum guide. Overall, not a very happy experience especially the guy who finally picked up the call made it sound like it's our fault instead of theirs.

Rented from SUP for my first paddleboarding experience. They had fast and efficient service, and same 1-hour rates as the other pop ups around the cove ($25/hour). I'm not sure if their 2-hour rentals have a discount (one pop up offers $40 for 2 hours). The paddleboards were nice and clean, not old or grimy looking. Enjoyed the experience, would do it again. SUP is right next to the public bathrooms at Marina Beach (Mother's Beach).

Great experience overall. Tim was an excellent instructor and the session really instilled some solid basics that I can build on. Important to get expert instruction like this so you don't develop bad habits early. Highly recommended.

I love them! I did the "basic" and was the only one in my class, but the female (super fit) helping me was super polite & very good at explaining to me how to keep my balance with different scenarios (wind, sting rays.yeah, there were a ton out that day), etc. She was VERY patient with me & watched me from shore.to make sure I got the hang of things. I was surprised at how easy things were. Also, the guy who answers the phone, Tim (?), was super helpful & polite. This is one of those companies where it seems everyone was trained to be people focused & they generally are just professional, happy, & patient people. Thanks!
