Dr. Rafizad is truly a amazing doctor. He was extremely thorough and explained everything in a caring manner. It’s seems more and more rare these days to find a doctor who listens and truly cares about his patients well being. I am so happy I found this doctor.

When I first moved to SoCal I needed to find a pain specialist as quickly as possible so that my neuropathy pain could continue being managed without interruption. Dr. Mahrou was the first one that accepted new patients and even arranged an appointment the very next day. Over the years, he has always valued my input before prescribing any medication. I’ve always felt that it was a team effort and not just being dictated on what to do or what meds to take.

Eventually, Dr. Mahrou suggested a neuro StimPak to help manage the pain in my hands. It has been a godsend. I truly believe it has prevented me from taking even more meds (which I’ve always been grateful that Dr. Mahrou prefers to find solutions that work rather than just increasing the amount of meds.) I am currently scheduled to go through the trial using the StimPak for pain relief in my feet. The stimulator does not solve the problems I have with pain, but it definitely gives me back a life that I could have easily given up on.

Dr. Mahrou has always made himself available to me, day or night, if I ran into any problems with either my pain medications or the StimPak. He has been an amazing rock at times when I felt my world was crumbling from constant and debilitating pain. He listens, allows me to have input into my own care and has genuinely shown that he cares about me personally. His staff know me by name when I visit and are always cheerful and accommodating. I wish I didn’t have the pain, but if I have to have it, I sure am glad I have Dr. Mahrou in my corner.

Dr. Mahrou is an excellent pain specialist. I've been in good standing with him for many years, and trust him implicitly.

Dr. Rafizad is a highly skilled and compassionate man. He has shown both sides to me, his patient for nearly two years. I would recommend him to anyone in need of dealing with chronic pain. He is able to help you overcome your fears and manage your pain.

Doctor Mahrou has been my doctor for 8 years. During that time he and his staff (Christina specifically) really go above and beyond to make sure all patients are taken care of. I’ve dealt with many doctors and I’ve never ever come across one as compassionate and caring for his patients as Dr Mahrou. He genuinely cares for his patients and their medical issues. He is not one to just hand out medication freely he wants to find the root of the problem and give all options of care. I can’t say enough good things about him. I truly consider myself blessed that I have a Doctor Who is stuck by me and cared for me the way Dr Mahrou has. When you go into any of his offices you will see the many awards and accolades presented to him for his service in the medical industry. Those are not just pretty wall decorations. He has earned and lived up to each one of those achievements and more. If you are looking for a better quality of life and a wonderful man who will be there to help you achieve that then Dr Mahrou is just the doctor you’re looking for. We love Dr Mahrou and the whole staff at Pain Care Providers.

Dr Mahrou is ultra competent. He takes his time and responds to all my questions and concerns. I feel that I am in very good hands with Dr. Mahrou.

Dr. Rafizad was so personable and easy to talk to. You know some Drs.just don't listen to their patients concerns. Especially when you have lots of questions. He answered my concerns; we laughed a bit and he explained how procedures would be done in layman's terms so I could understand. In closing, nice facility and great staff.

Dr. Mahrou is always attentive and caring. His professional ability is great and he goes the extra mile to help me.

I love the fact that Dr. Mahrou actually cares about the patient.and is willing to help when and where he sees fit.im glad he is better than other pain care providers.most want to stick pills in ur pocket.while DR. Doctor Mahrou is wonderful, he has truly helped me with the pain I suffer from daily and Christina from the front office staff is fantastic.

This review is SOLELY for the billing department, who have made account errors previously on my balance.

However, in order to wave a "no show fee" (which I spoke to the front office about on the day of my appointment) from last month, when I suddenly had to travel to Wyoming for my 18 y/o HS senior cousins funeral, she asked for PROOF of the funeral. So I had to SHOW picture proof, of the funeral.

Then they requested payment for 2 prior appointments, which I stated I was not sure if I had paid yet. I knew I owed one and asked for my statements so I could reconcile them against my own accounts to be sure, which apparently was a HUGE deal to request. After 45 minutes they still had not been able to provide the statements, which once checked and confirmed I would have had no problem paying what was owed.

A second lady from billing then came out and rudely began demanding payment, these payments were a month apart from each other and in between them I had made a payment

So clearly I would have made the payment, I just asked to review the account, as personally I do not just pay things blindly when I am unsure of what is owed.

This same lady then started stating I had "multiple no shows" and that is their issue with me. They referred to an occasion in 2019, and occasion in 2020, and then this occasion. I had to walk out of the office because the "billing manager was overwhelmingly rude"

Upon consultation of my notes, I had previously provided proof of a hospitalization in 2019 on the date of my missing appointment and in 2020 the missed appointment was on the date my brother died suddenly (which I can also provide proof and pictures of.

So if you're human, and have human things happen in your life, I do not recommend this office.

I unfortunately don't have many other options currently to switch as it takes time, but have already sent a message to my PC office in order to get a referral to a new doctor. It is truly a shame because Dr Mahrou is a wonderful doctor.
