Pain Medicine: Adventist Health Physicians Network reviews
6I love the Adventist Health group and team of Dr Novak and Stevie Lamb. They are super responsive, smart and genuinely care about their patients.
Went to get my blood work and the person on the phone from Adventist Health said he could send request to the lab, I showed up and no lab work was sent to the lab. Waste of time and I was fasting grrrr.
I have been seeing Dr. Shumsky for post-op pain control from a total left hip replacement. I already was/am a chronic pain patient from a multitude of different ailments and previous surgeries that has been under control for over 15/20 years now with medications tailored for me that works just fine. Because I’m a chronic pain paitent of over two decades I have tolerance’s to all pain medication and I’ve needed a pain management specialist to control my terrible post operative pain
Stevie Lamb assisted me with a persistent cough lasting 9 days.
She was professional and wonderful.
I have felt confidence in every doctor and nurse practitioner at Adventist Health except for Dr Wilson. He removed my gallbladder a couple of months ago and lied to me about the procedure, saying I would be fine the next day and all I would need for pain was Tylenol. I could not believe the amount of pain I was in that day and night. The next day I called Dr Wilson for pain pills. He said he wasn’t surprised by my pain because my gallbladder was not working at all. If he knew I was going to be in pain, then why didn’t he give me pain pills for my recovery. The nurses in recovery noticed my pain and gave me an oxy to at least be able to get back home.
I didn’t not go back to Dr Wilson for my follow up. I have used google to check on what to eat and what to do while healing. He offered NO help or advice.
In my opinion, he is the worst doctor I’ve ever been to.
Doctor doesn’t listen. You get no support from her. She only works Monday through Wednesday so if you are in need to talk to her good luck. She doesn’t return phone calls. For a doctor who specializes in pain management She should provide more support for her patients. There’s a reason why patients go to pain management.
I hate leaving bad reviews, however, I felt this was important. I had major surgery, ended up in the hospital for days because of infection. I was trying to get off pain meds because I didn’t want to become an addict and wanted other options.
I see why there’s an epidemic of people being addicted to pain meds. No support!
