Painted Ladies Tour Company, San Francisco CA

This tour was so fun! Driving trough the city in such an iconic car, seeing all those iconic and beautiful places was very special. Jim was our guide and he was so amazing and sweet! He gave us many insights and insider tips of San Francisco. I am not a fan of typical tourist tours so if you want to discover the city in an alternative way with a person who grew up in the city, this is for you! As a music fan I loooved that Jim had the perfect music!

Had an awesome time on our Painted Ladies SF tour on Jan 13. Learned so much about San Francisco history, culture, important events and fun facts. Jim was our guide and he did a great job!

Had the most amazing day touring Napa and Sonoma. Had some awesome wine and made some friends. Caio is a great tour guide /host and the van made it suck a fun trip! Would definitely recommend Painted Ladies and Caio as your driver!

Jim provided an incredibly enjoyable afternoon. He was knowledgeable and fun. We learned so much more about SF than we expected and loved seeing so many well-known and lesser known sites. The length of the tour was perfect and allowed us to see a lot in our limited time in the city. We loved our experience and would absolutely do it again and recommend to others! Jim also provided a great pizza recommendation for Tony’s Pizza, it was delicious!

Our tour ended up being just my Mum and I on a really really rainy day but thanks to our guide Caio it was a fantastic couple of hours! He was so nice and relaxed and friendly it was like we had known each other forever. Highly recommend!

We had a group tour last Saturday with our tour guide Jim Anaya and it was well worth it. Jim is passionate about his job and his knowledge of San Francisco is beyond what we expected. Being a Bay Area resident for 68 years I thought I knew a lot about The City, however, I learned stuff I never knew or imagined. I highly recommend this tour.

We had a fantastic couple of hours seeing SF with Caio, who was fun and gracious. Learned a lot about the city’s history. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience driving through San Francisco in an oldschool VW-Bus! I especially recommend taking the tour in the beginning of your stay, as it gives you a comprehensive overview of SF’s “must sees”, so you can pick all the wonderful places you want to come back to and explore in further detail. Caio was an outstanding tour guide - easy-going, knowledgeable, funny, and provided not only historical facts about the city but also lots of interesting anecdotes (did you know that Golden Gate Park is home to 9 bisons? Or that the people of San Francisco nicknamed the fog over the city “Karl”? Karl even has its own instagram account!). So definitely make sure to take the tour, and try to get Caio as your guide!

AMAZING AND FUN! Our driver Armando was super informative and was energetic. This is a must do if you want to see some spectacular sights on limited time. The VW bus is a nice touch.

Our driver/guide Ciao was great! Young fellow from Brazil who has only been in SF for a few years but really has learned a lot about the Bay Area! Great communicator and really made the trip fun for our group. And the wine was good too!

Our trip was fantastic. Loved the VW, guests, wineries and our driver, Jim. Jim was knowledgeable, helpful and kept us on time.

An absolute must-do when visiting San Francisco! We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and Caio our guide made the entire experience a memorable one!

Had an amazing time and saw plentiful of tourist spots. We had Jim as our tour guide and he was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of San Francisco. Not only that but he also had some good jokes up his sleeve! He was kind and made our tour one to remember 10/10!

We did this tour a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. In fact I recommend it to any friends going to SF for something to do.
The vintage VW Vans are painted and fully restored on the inside. The guide was friendly and showed us places around the city with some local history. We also got a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge from a hilltop vantage point. Convenient meet up place near Union Square.

Had a fantastic time with friends at the Sonoma Winery tour with Jim as our wonderful tour guide:) We loved the van, the pace, and all the wineries! Thank you Jim for your professionalism and all the photos!

This was a terrific day! James was an amazing driver and tour-guide, accommodating each of us in our group and ensuring a wonderful time. The three wineries we visited offered a variety of offerings and tastings. This company was incredibly patient in setting up our day and quick to reply with every conversation.
