Palisades Tahoe Lodge reviews
18Love this place fun for adults and kids the pool is really cool not to mention the river or the beaches near by
The Lodge is a wonderful resort. It's located just a block from the Village at Squaw Valley and adjacent to the aerial tram. It has it's own parking garage and great outdoor pool for summer guests. The staff is very helpful and can answer all your questions about things to see and do in the area. The rooms are fantastic! See photos.
Great place to stay. Stay here many times and enjoy it. But this time was no house keeping and lot's of construction noise.
Any way we love this place.
The staff here is very friendly and went the extra mile to make my stay pleasant. Special thanks to Luke and Shellie, they both were especially helpful. Always love staying in a place that's sharin' in the groove!
I love staying at the Squaw Valley Lodge. Friendly staff. Best location in Olympic Valley. In winter, you can ski in and out of the building. In the summer, there is hiking right outside. The remodeled lobby looks very nice. Huge, fun pool outside too.
We stayed here for 4-nights. The room (deluxe studio) was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. The location to the slopes and village is unbeatable. Pool and hot tubs were good too.
Huge rooms with full kitchen, plenty shelves and cabinets. Nice location, you can see a chair-lift from the window.
This was terible they dont even have room service they gave us 2 rolls of toilet paper they only have 1 bed and the only good thing was the skiing.do not come here unless you have no choice.i did not enjoy my stay at all.you have to walk across to a whole nother building to get to other rooms.
Stayed in room 308 and I gotta say, we had high expectations given it's price and being ski in ski out, it was rather disappointing. I guess you can say you are paying for the convenience of not having to drive. The place was extremely outdated, very little cooking supplies are provided, and don't bet on any spices or oil. You can't even compare it to an airBnB rental. 1 roll of toilet paper, or was truly disappointing for the price, would rather have stayed at the resort. The one redeeming value, or saving Grace, was the spa, 2 huge spas and they were open for business! If you're into the polar plunge, there is a partially iced over pool!
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. My family and I were SO excited to come here for New Years Eve. Unfortunately, we got covid the day before our reservation. (yes, we are fully vaccinated with booster and still got extremely sick). We immediately called and tried to request a refund for our over $800/night room. Without any sympathy, they refused. We were even open to getting a credit to come at a later time when we were better since we were so excited and bummed we couldn't go. We even asked if we can add insurance on and pay for that in order to get our refund. Still refused. How does the rest of the world have new policies in place for Covid EXCEPT for SQUAW VALLEY LODGE? This made a really sad, scary, stressful situation even worse. They said its "not them and that it's upper management". Would they rather have had us come to the lodge and risk everyone else's health and safety? All we want is our money back. Please. We shouldn't have to beg. I know, I know, I'm being a "Karen" but we all have to be at times LOL
This is a true ski in/ski out location. We can drive in, park in an underground garage, not worry about digging out from snow in winter or shield from heat in summer or about driving to dinner and activities, year round, if we don’t want to. We get a full kitchen, laundry, access to hotel amenities, restaurants, hiking, ropes course (summer), ski lifts, gondola, bars, bike paths, rentals, etc all within walking distance. Will return for many years to come.
Rooms are very dated and there must be very little noise insulation between rooms. It sounded like horses were stampeding above us all night until about 1: 30am, despite our calls to the front desk. Our baby struggled to be able to sleep here between the noise and lack of air conditioning. We would definitely stay elsewhere next time.
AC wasn't working and it got really hot, everyone kept their windows open and we only were provided 2 electric fans. Very outdated. The shower drained slow so the water rose up to ankles. Hair dryer didn't work. Parking always full. The couch beds were super thin and uncomfortable to sleep on since you could literally feel the springs.
Love this place. We are timeshare owners, but believe they rent out rooms too. Nestled in Squaw Valley with quick walking access to Olympic Valley facilities. Courteous staff. Facilities well maintained and clean. We like the summer activities. But the main attraction is the snow skiing.the Olympics was held here. There are several nice restaurants. I reccomend.
Arrived at 1am due to heavy traffic/construction from SF. The front desk didn't warn us that our room would be OVER 100F without A/C. There were fans in the room (incl a ceiling fan) but it took a while to get them set up because the patio outlets were both dead and the fan cords were at best 4' long, too short to reach inside outlets. I finally found an extension cord that allowed me to set up the fans on the patio and blow cool air into the unit which cooled it down enough that we could sleep. We also needed a fridge for our food, which was there as advertised, but also broken (the door wouldn't close and the fridge floor was covered in water). There were several other things wrong with the unit, but these were the "highlights". A motel 6 would have been half the price and been a much better choice.
The lobby area is pretty old and half way not done, construction wise. Convenient location close to lots of shops and restaurants.
Can't ask for a better location to ski Squaw. Stayed in a "Premium" studio with loft. Everything was nice and seemed recently updated/remodeled. Would give more stars but they are ripping guests off with a $30 daily resort fee while there is no hot tub, pool, gym/locker room or hospitality suite to clean up in. So they will charge you an extra $25 an hour if you want to clean up after skiing on your last day. Felt like they were charging us for the filet mignon but serving a cheeseburger.
Beautiful location views are breathe taking highly recommend. Jus heads up not many places have AC and it's hot out here. It's June 18. We are for a wedding
