As soon as we saw our dogs name on the board near the door, we felt welcomed. The receptionist was very nice. The doctor and his assistant were also nice, kind, caring and explained everything to us regarding our dog. Also, we loved the fact that they didn't pressure us into anything. Love this place and will be returning again. We highly recommend them.

We are visiting Palm Springs and brought Miko, our 10 pound Havanese. We wanted to establish ourselves here since we come once a year.

All of the staff, vet tech and vet were awesome! A really nice place and they did a wellness check, found a little ear irritation, , gave him his Cytopoint shot. We both experienced hives!

I could never show enough appreciation for the expert care and attention Palm Desert Pet Hospital has given my dog and I. My dog is not well and I was told that she might not live another six months. Because of this expert care and attention provided by Dr. Pentoney and her team, my dog is doing very well several months later. By trusting this team of professionals with my dogs life, I am in essence trusting them with a major part of my life as well and I wouldn't trust anyone else. One could only wish that the health care provided for humans in this desert was as competent and skillful as the animal care provided by Palm Desert Pet Hospital. Gizmo had to go to the vet to see about his teeth extraction. Turns out that 3 of the 4 teeth had already fallen out. His surgery was canceled by the doctor, and he sent us home, no charge. Love the staff and the physicians here. Doug Robbins.

KEEN EYE FOR WALLETS, NOT WELLNESS! Also, I waited 2.5 hours (with appointment) while the technicians smoked weed outside.

I took my 16yo cat in today for a wellness check as she is aging and drinking more water. They advertise $235 for a senior bundle, including blood work, urinalysis, thyroids, and a couple more things. Once there, they come out with a bill of $688 saying the wellness package was not available, because my cat was "sick" based on my concern for her drinking more water.

In other words, they pre diagnosed my cat as SICK before taking any single sample! Refusing to treat the visit as a preventative visit, based on my unprofessional observation of a cat drinking more water.

SCIENTIFIC METHODS ARE:
1) Make an observation: 16yo cat drinks extra water
2) Ask a question: is something wrong?
3) Form a hypothesis, or testable explanation: If the cat is sick, then appropriate tests should generate positive for a sickness.
4) Make a prediction based on the hypothesis: Let's predict that older cats have blood, thyroid, and other imbalances
5) TEST THE PREDICTION: THIS IS WHEN YOU TEST AND WAIT FOR RESULTS
6) Results: this is where you can determine positive or negative for a sickness, or indicators of an illness
7) and lastly! Conclusion: use the results to draw conclusions.

They do not follow the basic steps of science. Diagnosing my cat as sick without testing is USELESS, CARELESS, FALSE, and INACCURATE.

Banning Animal Hospital will treat your pets better.

The whole staff at Palm Desert Pet, is very nice and polite, they made my little feel very comfortable. They even called to see how little was doing.

It was our first visit, the staff was excellent and the Dr was very informative, he examined our dog and was a very nice guy.

I have only been going here a short time. The people are very polite and on time. I think they charge to much money and the doctors could spend more time explaining things to you when the examine your dogs. The technitions are very good. There are improvements that could be made to make this a better place when you come for a visit.

Very friendly and saw my cat quickly. Dr was kind and explained everything in a way I could understand and without judgement. Front desk was super sweet and patient. Overall a great place.

The staff was super friendly and helpful! This was my first time taking a pet to the vet and they made the process so easy. They gave me options as far as payment went, explained multiple times the process that my dog was going to go through, and made sure I didn’t leave with any questions. I will definitely be coming back.

I highly recommend this pet hospital. Our dog had an emergent intestinal issue and they worked us into their schedule. The doctor, aides and front office were exceptional, and they followed up later to make sure she was recovering.

Highly recommend! The entire staff at this facility are absolutely wonderful! I am traveling for the winter and have a dog with a medical condition that requires blood work to be done every 4weeks. This office was able to accommodate us and they gave the very best care to my girl! I could not be happier with the level of care, compassion and attention to detail. They made sure the test results came back good and that all of our prescriptions were refilled before we got back on the road. Thank you so much for the incredible service!

I HAVE BEEN GOING THERE FOR OVER 20 YEARS. A YEAR AGO I NEEDED TO GET MY DOG IN BECAUSE HE HAD A BAD COUGH. THE GIRL KEPT ME ON HOLD FOR 10 MINUTES. I CALLED BACK. THEY WONT SEE MY DOG FOR ANOTHER WEEK. IM SURE DR HICKS WOULD ALLOW MY DOG IN BUT NOT THIS GIRL SHE WAS UNBELIEVABLY RUDE.
They did it again! We were scheduled for 8/4 at 4. My husband took our dog in. They decided to change the appt to 8/9. I was 5 minutes late and they REFUSED to see my pet. No one was in the parking lot. There was no excuse for this treatment for a long time client. I dont know if the doctor is aware of how unprofessional this new group is but I wouldnt recommend going there EVER despite the doctor being kind. I read quite a few reviews and they all complained about the new staff. How can Dr Hicks be so oblivious to what is going on?

The Palm Desert Pet Hospital's doctors and staff are the best. They are well qualified, friendly and efficient!

First place we went to and the comment was we are closing In 20 mins to help no question regarding our 10 week frenchie if it has a problem other than implied we are not helping you. Proceed with caution!

We just moved to California and were so happy to find a veterinarian who could see our dog quickly when she developed a cough that wouldn't go away after two weeks. The veterinarian, Amber Pentoney, the vet tech, and the receptionist were all very caring and considerate of our very vet anxious dog. We will be returning for any future vet care and would definitely recommend this veterinary practice.
