Palm Springs Public Library

Went in to get my passport and they were great I'm so glad I went there, they were so kind and patient with me. Thank you everyone there.

It has been some time since I have been to the Palm Springs Library. The building is beautiful but I found most of the staff egregious and not helpful. I hope they have improved but I gave up and I found the Rancho mirage Library to be far better. The Palm Springs Library is the worce Library I have been to and I have been all over.

The library is incredibly helpful and can be an asset to the community. If I were to have any notations and as I'm making them obviously do, the library has been zoned or tagged as a cooling and warming center.however the security guards take their jobs far too far.
I understand the necessity to make sure people are not utilizing drugs or in other ways abusing the opportunity that Palm Springs has given the community by allowing us to utilize the library. But it is ridiculous to ask patrons to leave because they have blinked longer than a second and a half and security guards out of boredom and lack of a better job have taken upon themselves to power Trip on the poor people that are actually just in there trying to read and relax and utilize the facilities for what they're for.
I myself as well as my fiance have been asked to leave based on the fact that under their expert tutelage we were sleeping in the library when in fact I had a book in my lap and she would use lighting utilizing her cell phone.
This is ran a bit long but if I had to say in a note security guards effing relax.

This library is perhaps one of the oldest ones in the Coachella Valley. The present location has been there since 1973.
It is funded by a foundation of friends of the library and thus captures all the items that are necessary to make a library a success. Second only to Rancho Mirage library, the spacious accommodation offers quiet solitude, study cubicles and ample reading rooms. Nice big Windows to see outside and the location is great. Knowledge is power and it is free at a library near you!
This location is open on Fridays, only closed on Sundays.

Palm Springs library is great. Open, easy to navigate and choose books from the new release tables. The staff are helpful and the automated check out and return process are easy to navigate.

Clean, well-stocked and amply staffed. Notable for its large selection of cds, dvds and graphic novels. Automated checkout is a breeze. Clean restrooms, too. All told, it’s a great, cool place to spend an hour or so enriching yourself. Be sure to check out the books for sale, too. Most are $1 and you’ll likely find a few of those to take home with you.

Nice library. When I had no access to computers I used to come here and use the computers which was a great help at the time. Nice cool place to check out a book and also got a coo pond inside. In addition to that they do passport services as well.

Came here because my car AC broke. Great selection of fiction books, music and movies. Coi pond is a nice touch. Shady parking and park outside.

There’s literally no reason the library should be shut down two years after the lockdown. Absolutely ridiculous covid policy.

The best place. Staff are very helpful. Library is so well maintained. Thoroughly enjoy the ambiance, peace amnd quite. My thanks to each and every one. Experience there is great!

I enjoyed my visit very much. Beautiful library located close to a public park. Friendly staff. Diverse collection of books, film and music (this). An important place to visit and support in Palm Springs. Libraries rule (not to mention the amazing Frida Kahlo ofrenda for Dia de los Muertos).

It's always a awesome experience when I'm able to enjoy my liberties at our library!

The city of Palm Springs has a very decent Library it's a state-of-the-art with books and movies and CDs and all different types of material that's needed and you are able to check things out online as well as in the library itself they're also part of another group and by downloading that app you're able to borrow and read audiobooks so it's well worth the ability to be free to residents of the city of Palm Springs
