Palmdale Youth Soccer

Every league has their issues, but PYSL is in a league of their own. This is our experience from 3 years multiple seasons. Board members reffing other board members games (hopefully your coach is a board member). You also have refs having family members on opposing teams which should be treated as a conflict of interest, but everyone is given the benefit of the doubt until the bogus calls start happening. Coaches volunteer their time and aren’t compensated as are board members so I don’t get the reason for the favoritism and overall fair treatment. Greedy? League seems to be overwhelming hard up for money yet fields are horrible to play on year over year. I once saw a ref make a call and then someone from the gazebo came down and reversed it. A lot of questionable behavior always with board members and their teams /friends and starts to become noticeable in older teams. Just a game and remember board members you’re regular people outside the park. All this really takes the fun out of it and we’ve been on both sides of winning / losing. Hard to recommend when you know how the league really is.
