Palomar Christian Conference Center reviews
15I have never been to a Christian Conference Center before so I went in with no expectations because I did not know what to expect. I was blown away with my experience at Palomar Christian Conference grounds. The rooms had a good amount of space to fit everyone comfortably with their bags. Also the grounds are well kept and clean! I was very happy with the various activities offered such as the paintball and archery range! Everything was well spread out but also was not to far of a walk to each activity. It a little intimidating to drive up the mountain at night but I was pleasantly welcomed by signs for clear directions and a well lit area with paved walk ways that was clear of Twigs and rocks to safely walk the paths. The breakfast was well organized and they also had different options of food according to dietary needs. The sunset looking over the mountains was wonderful and I am really pleased with my overall experience and I am very excited to return in the future! P.s. They have a Gaga ball court and I have never played before but it was super fun and I was glad to be introduced to new games and experiences.
Truly an amazing experience for my children. Inspirational, kind, friendly, and educational. Thank you so much!
Awsome place, our church hosted a one day conference there. It was a big blessing and fun for everyone. There are many activities and this place is big enough to play many sports. Nice job Reliance Christian church, and the Spanish ministry Iglesia Redencion
Always a great facility to visit. Food is outstanding. Men's Conferences for last three years have been very moving and enjoyable. Close, clean, Christ-filled
Great place for fellowship and the staff are all incredible and joyful, this has got to be the most peaceful place on the planet! Heavily involved with churches and ministry of all ages!
Complete In Christ CC, Allies Men's Retreat. We were blessed by the staff and the amenities the conference center provides.
Great food and really nice hospitality. I went with my Senior class as a retreat and we really enjoyed ourselves.
Gorgeous & peaceful! Fresh air and clean water! Perfect place to connect with nature and self:)
This is a place a church can setup retreat where you can disconnect from the grind and open your heart to what is important. Each year I go gets better than the previous. The staff here go out of their way to ensure the place is safe and orderly.
My sons 6th grade class went to Science Camp at this location in March. As a chaperone parent I was able to see the cabins were great with A/C and Heating. Activities included archery, paintball, zipline, horseback riding, basketball & ga ga ball. Camp counselors were very energetic & knowledgeable. Food was delicious, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Totally loved this place! Highly recommend for your next camping retreat. Staff is super friendly and the chefs make some good food.
My child recently went there for a youth camp event. After being there for many hours (until around 9: 30 pm) they weren’t able to get in to their rooms due to “maintenance”. Come to find out they were treating the rooms for possible bed bugs and were not being upfront about the problem. The manager specifically told one of our leaders had they told us we wouldn’t have come. Of course not! To me, that says they were more concerned about money than doing what was right. Pretty disappointing considering this is a “Christian” camp. Our group decided to not take a chance and left camp.what a bummer for our kids. Fortunately, the Lord provided an even better camp experience for our youth group.
Now all 40+ (kids and leaders) have to take extra precautions to make sure we don’t spread bed bugs to all of our homes. Really disappointed they didn’t think how that would affect our group.
I don’t think we’ll be having any events here in the future.
This Christan camp offers a horse camp and an adventure camp. There is a large selection of drinks: soft drinks, juices, hot chocolate and coffee, but the camp totally wants and encourages campers to drink a ton of water. The activities that they provide are archery, trail rides, BB guns, basketball, Gaga Ball, soccer, and my favorite part: the pool. Lodges have a bunch of rooms. There ARE bathrooms in the lodges. You can see a lot of squirrels and birds here, especially woodpeckers and steller jays. It isn't surprising to see a deer.
Palomar Christian Conference Center is worth every penny, and is also priced low for a camp of this caliber. My daughter has attended the horse camp a few times and loved it. My son enjoys the Adventure camp because they fish, hike, camp and "rough it" for a few days. The counselors are amazing and encourage conversations about life, spiritual questions, God, etc. My kids have always made friends up there, even when they have gone alone. The food is good and the camp grounds are beautiful. I highly recommend it!
The conference center is one of the best facilities in Southern California, it provides Churches women's groups, men's, groups, youth groups an opportunity to retreat and rejuvenate and grow together I. Their mission to change themselves and their communities in their area. They also Host Para church groups such as intervarsity for different trainings and retreats. They have some traditional science camps for private Christian schools as well as summer camps and programs that run during the summer. It is able to meet the needs of medium size groups about 360 beds, for church's, and the max for science camps will peak at about a hundred, individual campers needs can also be met through, horse camp adventure camp, as well as base and launch camp.during summer. Lives are changed at camp, I am a bit biased as I have been a part of Palomar in some way for the last decade. The best part of Palomar is the staff and the culture they create we are here to serve.
