Palomar Medical Center Escondido reviews
27 Be careful with this place they will get your information and wont even answer any question about how long the wait will it be and if you are not ok with it they will still send you a bill its a total disaster in there
i waited 35 minutes outside to finally get in to the reception where they took my information and i asked how long was the wait no answer just let me finish this then after taking all the info and a copy of my drivers licensethey said 4-6 hour wait we are really busy today, my answer wasi am not waiting that long then they told me they will check me out and now a month later i get a bill for being on the emergency room without any service provided it's a scam and a really outhfought way of doing businers.stay away.i hope whoever checks on this hospitals place a visit to see how they take advantage of people.
Like waiting several minutes before being talked to at emergency room? Or not getting any assistance in loading a patient into a wheel chair, all while social distancing measure are non existent? Come on down to Palomar hospital emergency entrance!
I had an emergency appendectomy on a weekend. Great care. Surgeon gave me his cell phone number in case I had any questions and called me the next day to see how I was doing.
The wait time at this place is ridiculous. I am currently in a lot of pain right now. I have been waiting 4 1/2 hours and have only been seen once. They just told me the hold was they didn’t know if I had any drug allergies. I told them no when I first checked in, what the hell
They were showing Animal Chanel in the waiting room and those dogs on tv having babies were treated better than I was. Those dogs were made more comfortable than I was. Those dogs weren’t ignored like I was by passing stuff including nurses who looked like they are trained to no make eye contact with you so you don’t ask a question and even when they heard you they kept walking. After 8 hours of freezing, and so many more details that I will keep to myself for not till I completely heal and can expose this place to public and more, in ER they released me. I have very good insurance and can only imagine how they may treat other people.
I’m still waiting in the ER and I been waiting for 5 hours to get callled up worse hospital experience ever
I was ther for 3 weecks then a madicall rest home almost2yrs thanks they care look im allive and i walk and talke to god know in this world hope i get all my pets back in heava'n on reseraction day
Jessica my rn from the Er was absolutely amazing! She literally basically held my hand through all my shots and Ivs. She insured me I was gonna be ok because I was a tad panicky. I honestly couldn’t have done it with out her. She literally made me feel like she genuinely cared. Give her a raise and keep her around she’s an asset to the world thank you everyone who helped me out 8.27.18 around 2-5 am in room 51!
I just had a surgery at Palomar Medical Center 2 days ago. The ENTIRE second floor staff was amazing. From the volunteers, to pre-op Melea to Dr Cizmar my anesthesiologist, Katie and the surgical team, my recovery room nurse, discharge Noel, everyone was wonderful! Kudos to the surgical floor at Palomar! Very positive experience.
Kaiser patient and loved my surgeon. Had hip replacement and things went well. But did notice that there seems to be a malaise with much of the staff. Having worked at the City of Hope many years ago the building seemed dirty in many areas, dirty doors, scuffed floors, etc. The building being so new I was surprised. The staff on my floor were friendly but seemed to have a lot of young staff that were very new to there surroundings. A good cleaning and paint would go a long way.
It's a torturing service! Тhey do not give any advantage to clients with acute pain! Why? I arrived with a sharp pain (8/10), told them I have а gallstones problem and need ultrasound and pain relieve. It took them 1.5 hrs to do ultrasound and another 1 hr to give me the pain relive shot.
Although the staff in the emergency room are attentive and knowledgeable, I wonder when the last time they did thorough cleaning in the rooms. The dirt buildup on the wall baseboards is excessive and a dismal picture for what cleanliness in a hospital should represent. Very disappointed.
Came to emergency room with what i thought was trouble with my heart. The crew in the front that greets, and all the emergency crew in back, were quick to diagnose, treat, and honestly save my life. Thank you to all that were involved.
All of you are truly angels.
6 hours lots of tests then nothing no Dr. Just 6 hours of laying in a bed in a hallway. They are very quick getting your tests done then you hear nothing. Left very disappointed
My mum went to this hospital with a minor heart murmur and her life could have been spared with simply a breathing mask but when the nurse fired the code blue, no-body came and my mother died
Top notch hospital, the staff here is very caring and make you feel at home. The emergency room can get quite busy at times, because people treat it like an urgent care. If you have a cold or flu you should not be checking in at the hospital. Parking can also be an issue at times. Overall a really nice facility with all new advanced technology.
My wife had our daughter here. They helped her as much as possible and constantly checked on her pain. They made sure she got everything she needed. The nurses were very encouraging and comforting. They helped her get through the delivery. My wife even yelled at some of them but no one judged her considering she was about to deliver a baby. It's a great environment.
ER nurse was so rude and completely dismissive today 6/1/18; did not have walker or wheelchair for my 92 year old mother to go to the bathroom;did not tell attending physician (dunphy) a family mrmber was with her and wanted to speak with him;knocked my mothers hearing aid out and did not notice; could not find vein for IV; 5 hours later mom was discharged with no answers; only when you complain do they give you any attention; this nurse should not be in ER! Will call her supervisors
The staff at Palomar took EXCELLENT care of me! The nursing staff in the cardiac section were very attentive and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable; to the point of purchasing a fan as the room seemed quite hot (it wasn’t really at 70°). Needing an emergency open heart surgery wasn’t pleasant, but the excellent care I received helped make the experience more than bearable.
My father came in for a minor stroke. They triaged him great. The nurses in the ER were good and polite. The reason for the single star is the standard of care. No clot busting medicine to aid in recovery. And forcing him, a well controlled with oral medications, type two diabetic onto insulin to save THEM time and effort is 100% UNACCEPTABLE. You do NOT consider your level of ease in patient medication ever for ANY reason!
