I have never felt more belittled and disrespected until the moment I went to view this property. When I arrived the agent was eating lunch so I wouldn't interrupt his lunch I sat in my car and waited patiently for over 45 minutes for him to finish his lunch. When I walked in it was the most unwelcoming environment. The male agent didn't greet me and looked at us in disgust. Annie offered to assist me with my search I handed her my military ID as my identification and was told we can't show you units with that. I wasn't allowed a tour of the property or given any information. So I left. I can now understand what it must of felt like in the 1950s to not be welcomed into a community.

We just recently toured this complex and our leasing agent- Lucinda- was absolutely amazing.she was very kind, sweet, and respectful towards us.she was also very knowledgeable on not only the apartment complex itself, but the surrounding area.she explained every little detail about Palomar Station and answered all of our questions and then some, even giving us the ins and outs of pricing.she was very realistic when talking about the monthly rent and utilities- which we truly appreciated.thanks to lucinda, this is our first option for apartments in the area.give her a raise!

i’ve listed some pros about this place down below just from our first experience there.please keep in mind i do not live there so this was just based off my initial impression.fysa: we toured around 5pm

-community seemed very quiet and peaceful
-amenities looked clean and well kept
-parking spots were everywhere (overflow spots- not reserved)
-the one bedroom apartments were very spacious and honestly seems like the best bang for your buck (we’ve looked at 7 other apartments and this one was the cheapest for the amount of sqft)
-staff was very friendly, honest, and knowledgeable
-plenty of stores and places to eat around the area
-they have a food truck that comes every Thursday- super neat idea
-dog park and spa right across the street open 24/7
-snack bar next to leasing office

Cons**
-you have to move your car every 72hrs (if not in a reserved spot) or a two truck will come and tow your car (never heard of something like that before). Although, they did say if you let the office know you are going out of town, then they will let the towing company know and ur car will not be towed.
-the tenants there seem to be having minor issues with their utilities increasing in price and there’s not anything the staff can do about it
-“aggressive” breed restrictions
-no barbell or squat rack in the gym- they do have an abundance of dumbbells and kettlebells tho (this is just me complaint really)

overall seems like a great place to live with great amenities, nice surrounding area, and quiet community

We have been residents at Palomar Stations Apartments for about 5 years now but ever since GREYSTAR Property management took over things have been bad. My work orders are not done they want to charge for everything even for cleaning my high ceiling fans that are about 15feet maybe higher. And just now they just towed my truck the assistant manager said it was because my registration was not current (my registration is current) yet the towed truck said they towed it because my truck was parked on visitors for more then 72 hours this is a new rule I was not aware I been trying to get a parking spot forever bit they never have one available. I tried explaining to them beg them because I know the manager has the power to call the towed truck and have then released my truck. Manager is never available and most of the stuffs at the office are no help and rude all the time. We can’t wait to finished our lease and get out it here is not a good place to live here anymore.

Very trashy. They consider themselves high class and elegant. WHERE!? They do not care whatsoever for the tenants. The projects are more cleaned up than this JUNK of buildings. DO NOT MOVE HERE unless you are COMPLETELY OK to live in filth.

Stay away from this place! Definitely not luxury apartments. You will be charged high amounts of rent for a sub-par experience and charged ridiculous fees upon move-out. I lived here for over a year and the pet relief area always smelled horrible and was never cleaned. Pet waste is left everywhere and the trash are is used as a dumping site for unwanted furniture and other items. Guest parking was always challenging as people would park their cars there for months. When moving out I was told a walk through was unnecessary and I would only be charged a cleaning fee. Now my deposit is being held and I'm being charged an extra $600 dollars on top of that despite leaving the apartment in excellent condition. The charges include hundreds of dollars to replace carpet and paint that was new upon move-in as well as $98 for "Miscellaneous. " I was not provided with any invoices or explanations of why these charges were merited and have video and photos of the apartment's condition. I strongly suggest avoiding this and any other Greystar properties as they have been know for this for years. I wish I had learned from others' reviews all saying the same thing about the deposit and move-out charges and avoided renting here.

You're better off spending application fees elsewhere! After being rushed into applying for an apartment, submitting all documentation requested and being sent a welcome letter, being told to get renters insurance and to set up an account with SDGE, after paying the $500 deposit, I get a phone call saying it has been retracted. Its as if they want your blood type to apply. I cannot believe the level of unprofessionalism. When I asked for the deposit, they said it would be returned in the form of a check within 21 days from India. PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS WITH THIS LEASING OFFICE! Funny how they were eager to collect, but not eager to return what's yours.

My experience has been beyond terrible, exactly, what all the other reviews say, they steal from you. I’ve lived here for over five years and they’ve changed management. All the five stars were from the prior management companies. Moving out next month.

The units are nice and people in the community are great. While the office staff are friendly, they claim to have no power to make any changes in the community and the 'corporate' controls it all including rent increases. I have lived here since 2019 and since the new group has taken over two years ago, my rent has been increased the maximum amount allowed each year. I am now looking at $700 a month increase over the last two years! The property manager claims to have nothing she can do and her regional manager refuses to respond.
Do not be fooled by reasonable entry rates unless you are looking for something short-term!

I lived here for a year, and management was changed multiple times. The new management team is very hard to get a hold of. When you do, they speak to you like you are a dog and don't understand. I also had multiple issues with the plumbing, and various leaks were detected on multiple occasions, and water was shut off with no warnings. Parking was also getting super packed, I noticed more college students moving in and 1 unit would have 6 plus people living in them. They also try to nickel and dime you when you move out. It's also a nightmare if you have a package delivered. I actually moved out over 2 months ago and still get notifications of packages delivered for me with the code to pick it up, which could easily be accessed. Super unsafe. I would recommend you look at other places. It's definitely not worth the "luxury" living they promote.

I love this place! I feel like I’m living in a resort. The amenities are amazing and the office staff are always so helpful, the maintenance is always quick to resolve any issues I have. I could not be happier.

Got a tour today by Belicia, she was knowledgeable about the apartment and very helpful with all the questions I had. Very clean apartments and a nice staff, was greeted and attended very quickly which is a HUGE plus, I have no patience sometimes.

Do not rent from them. Don’t even fill out an application they will try and steal from you. I applied for them in September, and they charged a $500 holding fee for the apartment, which is 400 more than anywhere else I had applied. I was told by the person showing me the apartment that if my application was denied or canceled that I could receive my 500 back. I canceled a few days later cause we found a more suitable apartment. The only thing the girl said was “you’re not getting your 500 back” I immediately lost it cause that’s a large sum of money and not money I can just lose and she spoke to her manager and assured me I would get the refund. I was told it would take up to 21 business days. A month later I still had not received anything so I filed a claim with my bank and I got the money temporarily refunded but then that refund was rescinded. Shortly after I finally received my refund but they had canceled the check. When I emailed them to complain I was met with a apology email and a very condescending voicemail explaining to me that “I had already gotten the 500 and if they gave me 500 now that would make a 1000 and I only need 500” literally talking to me as of I was a child. When I explained to them the bank rescinded that 500 (which I called my bank today they knew it was rescinded my bank called them and asked about it but they still canceled the check anyways) all they sent back was that they would send my email to corporate and would have to restart the process which will take longer. No apology, no explanation, nothing. It’s two months later and I am still waiting for a refund FOR JUST AN APPLICATION. I can only imagine how abhorrent their management is in regards to rent or deposits. Also this is under grey star company and I’ve seen a few of their other rentals, do yourself a favor if you see grey star managing, run!

This is a great community because I have always had positive experiences with all staff in the leasing office. They all have been super helpful in assisting with my needs and answering all my questions. The maintenance staff is also helpful. The leasing staff seems responsive, friendly, and respectful. I recommend living at Palomar Station.

Used to be a nice place to live, since there’s been a change in ownership, things have gone completely down hill. Things do not get fixed, they lose your paperwork for things over and over again, and they don’t seem to really care.
