Panaderia La Chapina reviews
10I'm baffled by the good reviews a lot of people gave this place. A few people made comments about the homeless people and lack of cleanliness. I agree. There was a dirty, nasty bum sitting on the ground near the door. The area around the bakery is dirty and run down. The inside of the store could use a thorough cleaning too. The young woman that took my order was very nice and patient. I was anxious to try a Guatemalan tamale. I had never had one before. I got 2 tamales and a slice of cheese cake. The tamales were horrible. I ate them because I paid a lot of money for them. The tamale was a big pile of wet, soggy masa with a whole chicken leg in the middle. Tasted awful. A complete waste of time and money.
Good food rude and disrespectful employees! One was having a bad attitude and the other other
One was flirting with a guy

Comida rica Pero tiene una trabajadora con mala actitud y la otra queriendo ligar con los chicos
Best place to eat guatemalan food n try the atol de elote, platanos fritos n a whole lot more.you'll love it.the place is to small.but the food is worth it.
This place has no good.service bad food.no flavor.not even a key for the bathroom.and the staff is not polite.it is a filthy place and bread is ok.depends only the sugar cookies are good. I don't recommend this place at all. I wish I had the chance to talk to the manager.
Bread is good. Very limited menu, and you get instant coffee. Place needs a better presentation over all.
Their fresh bread rolls and sweet bread are great. They also sell tipical Guatemalan lunch plates and tamales. Small spot, but very good find!
Small hole in the wall.and line gets long at times and the wait. Best champurado and chicken tamales that.are cooked in green banana leafs are the BOMB! Good prices as well. Pastries sold here as well and daily food specials. Just Love it.
They have great & delicious food. It's so good that you do have to wait in line during dinner hours, but it's so worth it. Great & friendly customer service. Comida y pan Chapina deliciosa (conchitas, cubiletes, quesadillas! Tienen pupusas los fines de semanas. I will be back to try their other food!
Cash only! Prepare to wait in line to buy. Bread is good and Tamales are delicious. The store is small.
