Panakos Acupuncture Clinic reviews
8Great job. I was skeptical at first, but a few sessions with Carissa I feel way better. I trust her professionalism. I'm very impressed.
I started going to Panakos Acupuncture Clinic about four months ago. Since that time, all of the symptoms that caused me to seek treatment have completely gone away. In addition to being highly effective, Carissa Cheung is knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. She always asks if there are any new concerns before every session and tailors every treatment to address those specific needs. Her office provides a relaxing environment, and she also offers cupping services and herbs to supplement acupuncture for those that are interested. It's incredible how helpful acupuncture can be in treating many different things, so if you want to give it a try or are just looking for a good provider, I highly recommend Panakos Acupuncture Clinic.
I found Carissa through my insurance. She has been a blessing to me. I suffer from migraines on the daily. Some starting in September of this year I am no longer reliant on my meds. I will continue to use her services to maintain.
Carissa has a gentle nature about her that made me feel welcome in her practice from Day 1. She is very skilled as an acupuncturist, helping me manage my chronic muscular pain, among many other issues that accompany fibromyalgia. She does not treat multiple patients at the same time like other acupuncture clinics I have been to, so I felt like I was getting personal and high quality treatment from her. I'll be needing some weekend openings for acupuncture with my new work schedule; otherwise, I'd be staying with Carissa. Try out her treatment. It'll be worth it!
I was referred to Carissa by one of my best friends for Fertility Acupuncture. I had been on birth control for over 10yrs and my husband and I had decided we wanted to grow our family. When I met with Carissa and communicated to her the issues I was having on my fertility journey She was VERY knowledgeable, understanding, comforting && patient. She answered any and all questions / concerns of mine and was even able to address some additional health concerns I had had aside from my fertility journey. Although convincing varies depending on the patient and their bodies I’m happy to say that by our 3rd appointment my husband and I were to naturally conceive with Carissa’s Fertility Acupuncture and personalized treatment plan. I am currently 18 weeks pregnant and expecting our baby girl this fall. We are thankful for Carissa and all that she has done for us and I’m happy that she’s been apart of our pregnancy journey.
The care that I’ve received from Carissa has really helped to reduce pain and speed up the healing process in my shoulder.
I have spastic diplegic cerebral palsy and internally deformed feet, extremely high arches from the super high muscle tension - my whole life, I've had HORRIBLE foot pain when standing or walking too much.starting at 5-10 minutes of standing or about 2,000-2,500 steps. It's been a very consistent limit, every day, for as long as I can remember. It becomes so bad I can't think of anything else, am on the verge of tears, and can't bear to have my feet even touching the ground. Orthopedic surgeons and podiatrists wanted to do some pretty extreme surgery without even knowing for sure what the problem was or if it would be fixed. My neurologist recommended acupuncture, so I thought why not? After the first three sessions I accidentally/unknowingly managed to walk about an extra 600 steps a day when I check my tracker once my feet begin to hurt. That's a HUGE improvement when my limit is only 2,000ish! A huge improvement is capabilities and quality of life, and it's been holding steady so far. Thank you!
Also it really doesn't hurt that much - sort of like if someone touched a thumb tack to your skin. It doesn't feel like it goes IN your skin, though it does. I get Botox injections in my leg and foot muscles and those hurt like the Dickens. In comparison, acupuncture is my nap time. I don't even feel it at all when she removes them.
