Pancho Villa Mercado reviews
19 Apparently they don’t close not even 10 mins before 9pm. Get here ATLEAST 20mins BEFORE 9pm.
ONE thing i had to grab, i live right across the street and they didn’t let me in 10mins before closing. Asked nicely to go in to grab it and said no.
(I’ve worked in customer service for a long time, and even if someone walks in 10mins before you let them in.)
There’s been other occasions where the lady that makes the flour tortillas is really rude. She’s short and somewhat darker skin. She ignores and then laughs at you. Never wrote a review about this store, but i think its time.
Don’t get me wrong, there are some really nice ladies, but today just did it. I guess its just a luck for every day you walk in there.
P.s. I called and asked if they closed at 9pm OR 8pm due to them closing super early. Then the lady hung up on me when i was gonna ask her for her name.
Bought drumsticks from here, they had already gone bad. Don’t recommend buying meats from here.
Good food! Cooked all the way until perfect, tasty hot sauce, not hot, not spicy. Just right for food!
Superb tortillas de harina. Don't forget to separate them when you get home or they will stick together. They have a hot food area. Nothing special. Their restroom was closed for a while due to covid. Lame. This is the reason I started coming here.
My neighborhood market. My go to for everything Mexican. Fresh tortillas and a family meal ready to go if you're in a pinch. This place is always clean and employees are extremely nice. All employees are accommodating.
Everything you need for Carne Asada is ready and available. You need to make Birria.the ingredients are there. Premade Salsa, Guac, Tortillas, Carnitas, Guisados. Everything is there precooked.
It's conveniently located between 2 freeways and always plenty of parking.
They have 2 section. Food ready and its delicious. Fresh fruit waters. Good quantity and prices. Other section is grocery, deli, fresh home made flour tortillas and fresh cut meats. Friendly staff.
Before I begin, I must say that the employees at the market are wonderful people. It's apparent that the employees have nothing to do with the increase in price of many items. Although many people may not think the owner is gauging just look at the increases to multiple items. I'm not going to list all items but I will mention a few. The carne asada was increased 25% and the chicken has increased 78% over the last 3 weeks.many other items have been increased between 15% - 20%.
Store always stocked (except today due to special circumstances) and organized everyone is courteous and attentive.
Always good deals on meat and chicken. Bought meat for super bowl carne asada and it was tender and juicy. A hit TD with the guest.
Great produce and prices are excellent. They open early and close late which makes it very convenient! Definitely the best hand made tortillas! Bakery and kitchen are also top notch.
Cute little plaza we found as we cruising around the area looking for a shop to fix our car brake lights. There are restaurants and a bunch of different stores.
Good service, with the exception of only 1 register open, the lady in front of me kept shopping while the cashier was scanning her groceries. I only had 2 items.
Love it, great prices, a big selection at the butcher's counter, and some great prices on produce. They also make fresh tortilla shells at both locations.
Cold meats and deli is always at a great price. Chicken is always fresh and cheaper than other stores. The reason that its not a five star is because it lacks variety in their grocery section that being said this store is a quick stop to get ready to eat food, fresh flour or corn tortillas and like I said meats and deli is the best they offer.
Nice friendly neighborhood market. Good selection of fruits and vegetables at decent prices. Mainly Hispanic foods with a great deli. And last but not least, the shopping carts are in great shape and you don't have to fight them while you're shopping.
Good food at great prices. The parking lot definitely needs to be bigger for as popular a place as this is.
Cashiers lack enthusiasm and the fruit and vegetables tend to go bad quickly. Positive they have some of the best avocados in town and the meat section has some of the best prices in town
They closed at 9: 43pm and the lady at the door wouldn't let me in all I needed was a gallon of milk. I even asked her if they closed at 10pm and she said yes. I don't understand why she wouldn't let me in then.
The place had some comforts of Mexican food that is harder to find in the US. But it smelled like cat urine in the store for some reason and all their cereals were American cereals only, none of my favorite Mexican ones. Some things were way over priced compared even to other grocery stores in the area too. Ok if you are close by and need some Mexican supplies. Otherwise, I would suggest Walmart, Vons, or even Target for cheaper prices.
