Great drinks, great creativity awesome service. Food is okay, but the drinks and service really shine

Great place to unwind with friends after a hectic day at work. Limited drink choice makes selection easier. The food is great too. The music matched the vibe. Must visit for a person visiting San Jose

Superior bar, superior drinks, superior experience. The music is not so loud that you can't have a conversation, and they have just about every different kind of alcohol you can think of. If the drink isn't on the menu, you can almost guarantee that they can make it. You will not be disappointed here.

Came here after stare reopened and mask restrictions were removed. Food and drinks are not great but ok. Still no table service so you have to get up go to the bar and wait in a line to get a drink or even water.

The service was quick and friendly, the food and drinks were delicious. The bar tenders were so clean and efficient and the bussers even more so. Had an incredible night. The social distancing was also very well executed.

Great unique cocktails and appetizers, this was our go to place to hang out with friends in downtown San Jose! Hope things can go back to relatively normal: (Don't know how many of these bars will survive after COVID, but figured I'd write a review to support their business and let the business know we miss going there!

An overwhelming selection of drinks - almost all of my go to single malt scotch whiskeys are available here. Something threw me off about the ambience tho.felt like a market instead of a classy hip lounge

One of the finest and classy pubs in San Jose downtown, 55 south is a great competition, but Paper plane got some of my favorite cocktails!

This is a cool hangout that is located in downtown SanJose. They have a good menu with a selection of small bites and a few entrees. They specialize in unique cocktails that cater to your tastes. In fact, their drink menu has a grid that breaks it down for you so you can choose the drink that best suits your needs (see pic). The special drink menu does change every now and then, so try them all while they are available-you just may need to come back several times.

Staff is friendly and the Place is clean

Service was great. We went on a busy Friday at a busy hour, still they were quick on their feet and very polite. They adjusted their bar staff as the crowd expanded. The drinks were amazing! Definitely going back to try the food.

My very favorite pizza in Bay Area. Being a Socal girl we make this a mandatory stop very time we visit. Super thin crust, just the right amount of greasy cheese and giant slices yum. Love the pesto, potato, roasted garlic pizza.

Have never found paper planes though have found good beer, good food, good service, good friends here. Not crazy expensive either.

The buzzing atmosphere was great, lots of people chatting with friends drinking and snacking, I got great vibes and really enjoyed my time here. Such a cool bar would love to come back was just visiting on holiday.

Loved this place! Really cool atmosphere and delicious food/cocktails. I had the burger and it was unbelievable! My partner had the brussel sprout tacos and our friend had mac and cheese, both swore they were the best of our trip which is saying something! They have a really interesting cocktail menu though it is quite expensive. I actually did not like my drink but that was an ordering issue on my part, my friend/partner loved theirs. Highly recommend!

The menu is great. Love their atmosphere. Good drinks menu. Friendly bartenders. But it can be busy on weekend. Anyway, it will be a good stop with your friends.

Very slow. Waited a long time to be acknowledged to order. You order at the bar and they give you a number for the food servers to find you. Food was delicious. Drinks were very tasty. If you’re going to save money by not having real servers, at least have someone dedicated to putting orders in the system at the bar, instead of the same person taking orders also making several labour-intensive cocktails for multiple people before finally getting to you. Segregate the duties for efficiency!
