Parkhouse Eatery, San Diego CA

It was my first time at Parkhouse Eatery today. The eggs benedict was flavorful but was a different from the traditional eggs benedict I typically like to get.

The service was pretty slow and my server didn’t check in on me that often, even though he did at least 2 rounds of customer check-ins for other tables near me to take their orders. I ended up having to get help from other waiters to put in my order and get the check.

Our waiter was superb. Food = deliciousness. Good energy and positive vibes amongst the staff towards guests, they were all hospitable and attentive. Pup friendly.

(Side note: large portions.)

Brunch was fantastic at Parkhouse Eatery! We sat outside on the dog friendly patio and ordered the Crab cake Benedict and the special of the day lobster hash. Everything tasted delicious, and really nice portion sizes as well. Very friendly and quick service. Went on a Saturday morning so we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, but is a great area to walk around. Highly recommend!

Insane pancakes. One complaint is the hours. Why does a breakfast joint not open until 9am? For reference, another popular dine-in breakfast restaurant in the area opens at 7…

Green Chilaquilas with carnitas are excellent! Mexican mocha is bomb!
Churro pancake is good but preferred the traditional buttermilk. Service is great.

Long wait line, worth it.

The staff is excellent. Communicative and kind. We ordered the PH salad with shrimp, acai bowl, and the lamb burger. The shrimp was cooked to perfection and was really tasty. They actually got my order wrong with the beef burger, but they were quick to fix it and adding a veggie platter. Took 5 minutes to replace.

All the food was good and fresh, and the bathrooms were clean.

Worth the price and wait.

Great location with great food and drinks. Wish it wasn't so pricey. Seems most places after covid went up in price. Fabio was great at his job.

Excellent ambiance, great food, excellent service. There great breakfast is very popular so get there early. Dinner hours start at 5pm. Reservations recommended. Great selection of menu items. Outside and inside seating. Overall excellent. Highly recommended.

Beat lemon ricotta cheese pancakes with blueberry compote and blueberry sauce were better than most. I loved my food but my partner's blue pancakes were the best I had ever had.

Great food in a small cozy environment. The staff is very attentive and friendly. It’s situated in a nice neighborhood the only downside is parking is limited.

Amazing food, if you have not been here you NEED to go! Churro pancake, Parmesan sandwich, mimosas, all wonderful! Sweetest and very helpful staff!

Found this gem searching for a new brunch location to enjoy with my wife. The service was amazing from the minute we walked in. The food is spectacular and did no disappoint. You pay for what you get here. The portions and quality of food match the pricing in my opinion.

All of their food here is amazing. Best Chilaquiles I've ever had. Also amazing polenta cake w/ carnitas! Always amazing service.

Oh look, it’s me giving parkhouse another well earned 5 stars again this place has been my go to in the normal heights area since 2013! Yes, I’ve been coming here for a decade and won’t stop! I’ve tried over half the menu at this point and this is my go to spot to bring friends and family (including picky eaters) because there’s something for everyone.

The care that goes into the food, the quality ingredients, fresh made sauces batters etc and all the specials sourcing what’s available. I love it all! The staff are also a highlight along with the menu. They’re so friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, accommodating, and take pride in their work.

Although it is on the smaller side (be prepared to wait if you show up late to brunch) they have outdoor and indoor seating. Back to the food. My absolute favorites for brunch is the steak & eggs, carnitas stuffed polenta cake, and the blue cornmeal pancakes (my friends absolutely love their Benedict’s). My favorites for dinner is always the iceberg salad, Mac n cheese, carnitas pizza, and their pasta specials.

Fabulous place! Mimosas, coffee, michiladas, biscuits and gravy, breakfast pizza, 3 egg Serrano scramble is where it's at!
