Parking Garage @ Japan Center reviews
7 Safest parking lot in San Francisco. The mall has a ton of great stores and restaurants!
Gate closes early during the week, but if you call them they will let you in to get your vehicle. Great people and a beautiful courtyard. Lovely place to visit.
Never had a break in issue but the hours listed on the garage are according to the attendants wrong.
Garage says closed at 2am on Friday they say it's closed at 11pm. Guy on the phone kept hanging up on the other people locked out at 1: 30am and wouldn't pick up our phone calls at all. Finally got it open with a ton of attitude on their part.
Parked here on a Friday night for a little less than 4 hours and paid $8. I returned before midnight and saw a garage attendant sweeping the floors. Felt pretty safe, but because of all the other recent reviews that mentioned car break-ins, I emptied out the car before I went. Maybe I was here on a lucky night because the car got through it unscathed. I appreciated the touchless payment option when paying for parking.
The parking garage was nice. We were there 5 hours and paid $16. Clean. Felt safe. Was not full on Tuesday morning afternoon
NOT SAFE!
Like others said, they don’t have any security cameras, and there is an organized crime to break into cars and steal smaller bags. This seems to happen all the time. The night this happened to me, several other cars were also broken into. SF police will not help you, and the garage has no evidence to help you.
Our car (with nothing inside) and several others were broken into in the early evening. Attendant says there’s no cameras and indicated this happens all the time. Do not park here! Never had issues at the other garage near the AMC which has visible security.
About as bad as it gets, basically a criminal organization. They have kept my credit card information and continued to charge it randomly for about 6 months for sometimes thousands of dollars. No way to contact them, luckily my credit card recognizes it as fraud.
