Pathways at Bixby Village Apartments reviews
7Great place to live. I lived here while getting my bachelors at CSULB. Very close to school walking distance so that helps with the student parking fees. Very close to target and restaurant as well which is a plus. I had trouble moving when my lease was up and Rebecca was able to work with me while I got everything together and hired movers so that was greatly appreciated. Five stars from me overall if I ever move back to Long Beach this would be the place.
After a few months of searching, we decided to move into Pathways at Bixby Village. A very large part of our decision was based on the amazing service we received from Bianca during our search. She was friendly, professional, responsive, well informed and an excellent communicator. Perhaps more importantly, she was very patient after several weeks of helping us to find just the right unit. There was no pressure to make quick decisions. She respected the fact that this can be a stressful time and always encouraged us to keep checking out different units until we felt comfortable that we had found exactly what we wanted. And we did!
Thank you, Bianca, for an excellent experience!
I have been living here for 2+ years now. Space is very nice and management is quick to resolve issues. Rebecca has helped through multiple transition processes and made it easy. Maintenance is always quick to resolve any issues and the amenities are hard to beat for the price.
Recent move in, (about a month here!) but our experience has been great! Rebecca helped us have a very smooth move-in process, even with it being 100% contactless. Our apartment was very clean when we moved in and everything works great! We also have neighbors above us and next door and we really can't hear anything! They recently re did the pool area and they are in process of painting the exteriors of all the buildings and it really looks way better. The area is clean and well kept. We love living here and we are so happy we chose Pathways!
Just finished a self-guided tour and was not impressed. I saw TWO cockroaches inside their “show” unit and for the price point, you’d assume the cleanliness standards would be higher. If you’re looking for a nice apartment in Long Beach, I’d look elsewhere!
The apartments are falling apart and only updated with the cheapest available parts. Most utilities are shared building wide, so if anyone wants to play a game and run their hot water for a month straight, everyone else's bill goes up regardless of whether they used the water. Sound like theft? Yeah. Still thinking about living here? All I can say is have fun with the American cockroaches that come up the pipes (bath drain, sink drains, etc.) There is no on-site management. They left because they didn't want to deal with residents' problems anymore and it's easier to hang up on them than try to force them out the office door.
Since January of 2023 the hot water has gone out 6 - 7 times and the water pressure gets low frequently. I have had to take cold showers before work and maintenance comes hours later to fix the issue which is always a temporary fix. Essex refuses to fix the larger problem and we pay $2400 a month for our 1 bedroom to have working water. Ohh and sometimes they shut off the water without letting us know. Rent has gone up time and time again and not sure where the money is going? This place is falling apart. Welcome to pathways!
