Pattye's Closet reviews
8An interesting shop located in the heart of Montrose, just a block from the weekly farmers market. Pattye’s is a step back in time! There are all sorts of vintage and antique clothes, nicknacks and collectibles. There’s a really neat vibe in the shop and you’re sure to find the perfect vintage gift! It’s a small shop but worth the trip!
Treasure trove of vintage eclectica from throughout the decades. Everyone here is just lovely - especially the shop doggie ;)
The owner was called for apiece I was interested in that was marked $19.00 each for two pieces of jadeite. I took it up to the register to check out and the girl said I think that’s on hold, she called the owner, which mind you I know prior, and I purchase several pieces in the fall. I spent almost $1000.00 on costumes for Halloween. I run a business myself.
The girl said the piece was on hold, but the owner would sell it for $28.00 which it was marked “as is” and marked $19.00and had chips on the rim, the girl working said she underpriced it and it would be $28.00, and the girl who she had it on hold offered her $30.00. I said, to the girl at the store working, I have never heard of such shady selling tactics, and how unprofessional the owner was, and to let her know not only is she loosing a customer, I will never step foot in that shady unprofessional establishment again, I will never give my business to this establishment, today I walked out, thinking to myself, the owner who I briefly know, has shown her true colors and I hope this is a learning point for her. I will never recommend this place as an option to find vintage gifts as I had in the past. I really hope she reads this and rethinks her selling practices. If I could give this palace a negative no star rating I would.
I have never visited without buying something. Every time I go into the store, I find a treasure!
It’s my ‘go to’ place for exotic gifts or gorgeous cut glass old fashioned glasses. I have always found wonderful pieces of artwork in frames and ready to hang, or those Vintage Vases to bring someone flowers! Fabulous,
4 items I purchased there broke & so did 2 of my friend's purchases. SHE did not honor the "Store Credit/Exchange" Store Policy on a $175 gold necklace that broke. I took it to a reputable jeweler Esp. 1959 who said it was weak in 5 places & even if fixed would continue to break in other places. She is only there 2 weekdays business hours for Store credit & doesn't allow her employees to provide this "Store policy". Her local shop neighbors call her "A Scam Artist". This closet stinks (literally) is overpriced for used anything. Also, she attempted to blame ME for the breakage while admitting she has a box full of broken jewelry that need repair! You can do better!
Whoa. So much jewelry and trinkets I have to plan a trip back, for a few hours of shopping! Really cute part of town, nice scenery and lots of shops and eateries, lovely place to spend time.
An amazing little hole in the wall shop! I wanted to buy everything in the store, and the workers were so kind! Will be shopping there again for sure!
A hidden gem (quite literally) of the Montrose shopping area! I found so many beautiful pieces here today for what I would normally pay double or triple the price for elsewhere, it’s quite the steal and such a beautiful shop to explore leisurely in. 99% sure you’ll find something for yourself here too—
Covid-related: everyone wears masks & it seems like the place is regularly sanitized; felt safe with the employees enforcing mask wearing to a customer who was about to walk in without one
