We have been going to PoP since shortly after Dr. B & Dr. H.opened. We are very pleased with the service our pets receive and the clear communication regarding costs and options. Our girls like their doctors and their techs well enough they go to the vet pretty easily. (Which is a huge relief if you've ever had to convince/drag a big dog to enter his or her previous vet's office!)

Our first visit was a very sad one; we found PoP when we had a pet who was too sick to save. The amount of caring and compassion on a first, last trip for our dog was impressive.

A few weeks later, in the middle of Covid, we found a new puppy. But they sold us a very sick little girl. It was too late for us; we were already so in love with her. She became PoP's very first parvo-puppy.

Poor Dr. Bloomberg and Dr. Hardy and the PoP staff who saved our tiny 8 week old ball of fluff! You see, Bella was learning to talk, and as she began to feel better she drove them bonkers by chewing holes in her IV drip lines and then yowling pitifully in her cage whenever she was left alone. When we came to pick her up, she was sooo ready to leave.we could hear her when we arrived!

Bella, who first visited PoP at 8 weeks and 2 days is still doing well at 3.25 years. She's rather active, so we have experienced some Border Collie/German Shepard/Lab mix athletic injuries, x-rays, an Orthopedic referral, and of course meds, but she is doing great.
Maya, at 1.7 years is a new adoptee. We think someone could not cope with the level of activity* she requires and took her to a rural area, threw a ball and abandoned her. She was well trained when we got her. No chip. We've had her for one year this month and she has been a PoP patient since the day we brought her home. With help she has recovered from a near death starvation level and is a thriving, intelligent, super active, young border collie. She's been through the same medical and orthopedic challenges as Bella.

Thank-you to PoP for taking excellent care of our working canine family.

*FYI: So you think you want a working dog? Be sure. Because there is nothing like owning dogs who are up and raring to go to work every morning at 4: 45am until your bedtime. Who needs an alarm clock? Not anyone in our home.
Coffee, then Dog park. Everyday begins with 1+ hour of ball throwing and retrieving from 645-8: 00am. Then they have their breakfast and shower supervision duty. Next is inside and outside ball throwing and toy retrieving -by name- and back yard and front yard duties and tug and walking from 8am - 9pm. Naps are optional.
->Please, do NOT get these breeds if you can't be the type of owner the animal deserves. They require your time and around 8-10 hours a day of interaction. They do not understand having a day off. There is no sleeping in on weekends. If they don't have a job, they will create one. Excavation? Yes! Shoe or sock collector? Yes! Kid herding? Anytime. Announcing of unwanted or wanted visitor's to the property. Definitely! Restroom escort? Always! No, I'm not kidding.

Also, having a good pet insurance policy for each pet is a good investment.

I love POP! As a Dog Groomer I care so much for my pets and want to take them to a loving positive place to be cared for. POP is a beautiful clean site, profesional staff, loving & caring vets. I’ve always been happy bring my pets to a place I trust. In addition, I don’t feel pressure to buy more than I feel I need for my pets.

Everyone from the front desk to the nurses to the doctors gave very nice vibes and I felt seen and heard when I expressed some health concerns for my kitten. I loved the kitty room and so did my kitten. He looked so comfortable on the cat tree, almost felt bad having to carry him out

I have been coming to Paws of Pleasanton for two years with two of my dogs. Today I called to see if I could come in remove a tick from my dog. Amber, who answered, told me they can see me on Friday. So, I am to have the tick in my dog digging deeper for next four days. This is a 5 second job for a vet. Definitely disappointing and impossible to understand. Looking for a new vet in Pleasanton if anyone has recommendations.

We love Dr Hardy. She always gives great advice and sits on the floor with my dog. She is great with unfriendly dogs as well. I love the staff and they are usually able to get me in within a couple of weeks. The price is a little high but it is absolutely worth it for the quality.

Transferred my dog to Paws of Pleasanton and had a very pleasant 1st visit. The facility is welcoming as well as the staff! Plenty of space. Very thorough checkup with Dr. Hardy and the assistant/vet tech (didn't get her name.) and complimentary nail trim at the end!

Paws is absolutely incredible, I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Staff, Drs and the facility itself. Our pup is older and unfortunately ill, but their care, understanding, kindness & love made the news and process so much easier. Very grateful to Paws!

Very good facility & the best staff! I love how all of the staff treated us. They are always welcoming, helpful, and extremely nice. Also, I love that there’s a separate room for the cats. It makes us feel so comfortable and it helps them feel less scared.

If I could give a score of 100 I would. Due to a traumatic experience at an ER vet office our dog is terrified of anything that resembles a vet's office. The entire staff at PAWS has patiently worked with us for a year to help us desensitize her. At this year's appointment she walked in calmly (albeit through the back door) and more or less stayed calm through the entire exam.including a blood draw! Dr. Bloomberg and her staff are absolutely the best - patient, caring, and knowledgeable. I couldn't ask for a better team to care for our fur baby.

Was referred to this vet by my vet friend who isn't accepting new patients. They have by far been the best vet we've been to. Most vets seem to be scammy at one point or another, but this place never does unnecessary tests or treatment. They always take the time to explain everything to us and explain why they need to do the tests they're ordering and the treatment. They will be honest about if you really need treatment or can monitor your baby. They always text a day or two later or a week later to check in on your pup and answer any questions you have. They're also very reasonably priced and have the best prices we've seen at any vet. Our dogs love them and they don't typically like their vet. You can tell the staff all treats them well because my dog will always come back smiling and go with the technician or doctor with a smile and willingly which they wouldn't do with other vets. I trust them more than any other vet we've ever been to. Definitely recommend them for honesty, transparency, cost, quality of care, communication, and customer care.

They treated my dog Lil Cho Cho with the utmost dignity and respect during his time of flea. He got some meds and now he is back to chasing squirrels instead of his tail. Thanks Paws of Pleasanton!

I was so appreciative of being contacted for a cancelation with Dr Bloomberg. I had been very concerned about Sun, she was sneezing so much and shaking her head. I had let it go on too long. Sure enough, she had an upper respiratory infection and an ear infection. Dr Bloomberg is so good with my cats. After diagnosing, Sun got an antibiotic shot and ear treatment. It took a few days, but now she is almost back to normal. No more sneezing or shaking her head, just a little tired. I'm so grateful to Paws of Pleasanton.

Dr. Hardy and the entire staff at paws cares deeply for every pet they see. They are so thorough, kind, and patient with us “pet parents. ”I can’t recommend paws enough!

The vets and staff here are amazing. They are so friendly and welcoming. The vets don't rush your appointment; they explain everything you could possible ask about and really make sure you have the ability to bring up anything you might have forgotten at the beginning of the appointment.
On the admin side, they have excellent appointment availability, and fantastic hours (they open so early which is great!). Their reception is so friendly and helpful. They also follow up with you after your appointments. Truly 5 stars.
I've sadly moved out of the area, otherwise we would have probably kept them as our vets forever.

Dr. Conner and her staff are wonderful! They treated our bulldog with kindness and compassion (even when our puppy was being rude). It was easy to make an appointment, their app is very intuitive. Their office is clean and we were put in a treatment room quickly. We didn’t think we’d have our results back until Monday, but Dr. Conner emailed us the results early and it was nice to have that peace of mind. We really enjoyed our first visit and look forward to future care from this office!
