Worst place ever to rent a car. We rent one for US124 and were charged for US400. We returned it with full gas and they charged us anyway for that too.
Shame on them.
They stole my money! They gave me a car with a dead battery. When it wouldn't start one morning, they sent an employee to jumpstart it. Technical support over the phone assured me that it was free for me. And a month later they charged $106 from my card! Do not use Payless services. They will deceive you.
There was no one at the rental counter to fulfill my order. After a call I was informed they were at lunch. There was a sign in the terminal that said go to another counter, but it was not located in the immediate area of the Payless counter. Once I was able to talk to someone the process was easy. The vehicle was a little dirty. Definitely not as clean as some of the other vehicles I have rented. Returning the vehicle was quick and easy.
You get what you pay for. Great deal on the rental, only if you are able to drive the car. Rented a Honda Accord. Once I got out of the garage and was driving at higher speeds, I started to hear a loud humming noise coming from the rear. I stopped to check the tires, and to my surprise both rear tires were running on the wires. I had to attend a meeting and had no time to return it right away. Upon returning the vehicle, I told the attendant of the problem. The attendant stated to me, "thank you. " Good thing it was only $25 for the rental. But will never rent from this place again.
Rented a car 8/15 - 8/21 through Expedia, the initial price was $170, after taxes it turned out to be $696, don't rent a car through Payless, they play dirty.
Watch out for high hidden charges once you have returned your vehicle and left the premises.
Had to put a one star, but wouldn't give a star if it was an option.
We rented a car for 5 days while on a family vacation. When we went to pick up the car it took a very long time to even find our reservation, and it was under my name. After that long process we got into our car and it still had garbage from the previous renters. The night before we dropped it off my mother and I vacuumed and cleaned the car very well because 3 kids and 2 adults spending time at the beach the sand was in the vehicle, so we cleaned it for hours to make sure it was cleaned as well as we can get it, literally less than 5 specs of sand we're left when we were done cleaning in a small suv. A month later we received a charge of 450$. When we called to ask what it was for the customer service agent emailed over a report saying it was because the car smelt like smoke, neither myself or my mother smoke, my children who are all under the age of 8 do not smoke so we don't know how it smelt like smoke, when I asked him to explain the photos from the email, he hung up on me, and the other time I tried to talk to someone they have hung up on me when I was trying to get an explanation as to the photos and why we are being charged over a month later, and why it would smell like smoke when we do not smoke and there was no one around us that smokes. Not happy about this situation and no one will communicate with me to help me figure this out. I will never use them again nor will I ever recommend anyone to use them.
Absolutely disrespectful and with them not willing to even communicate is unprofessional.
I rented a Kia Forte at the Burbank Airport for a couple days and I was very pleased with the service and car. The car was easy to drive and the gas mileage was great. I will be a repeat customer.
