Charged me for an extra day, stating that I dropped rental off a day later than I actually did. Don't use key drop, make sure you get someone to sign off if dropping early!

Had a great experience. Very quick pick up and drop off. I prepaid/ordered through Priceline.

I am disputing on a chargeback with my credit card company and have lodged a complaint with the California Department of Consumer Affairs for being charged over $500 for add-ons which I had declined. There is no customer line over the phone, and no response when you lodge a complain online. Of note, there was a classaction lawsuit for these sort of practice against this company, wish I had known all this before booking here.

Not only did they offer a great rate on a sporty car, the entire rental process from Check-in to Return was quick, easy and seamless. Payless is definitely on my radar screen for future rentals!

They said we needed to change our own tire when it had a screw in it from them. Then they proceeded to be rude with us. I noticed another review had the same experience and I'm wondering if it was because someone hated the customer. We changed our own tire then they charged us for changing our own tire. They said we wouldn't get charged if we changed our own tire. It was messed up also we didn't get our car for almost 2 days. We went there by 10: 30pm and nobody was there and we waited 4 hours at the airport because they left early or were in the back hiding. It was a dumb experience that caused a lot of stress. We didn't even get to use the car for what we wanted because of the stress some employees caused us.

I had already paid in full via priceline. But somehow was given dubious charges after returning the car which is now being disputed. The customer service line is never available.

DO NOT RENT WITH Payless Avis or Budget, all one company and they will over charge you, take larger deposits which they refuse to credit back. Over charge for gas and they double charged me and argued with me when I tried to show my CC app showing they double charged me. WAIT TIMES OVER 40 MIN AT THE AIRPORT SLOWEST CAR RENTAL AND THE WORST. DON'T DO IT. PAY MORE AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

DON'T EVER RENT WITH THEM THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF.

Miserable experience with the person at the front desk who was impolite, nonprofessional and downright obnoxious. He threw the car keys on the desk at 5 yards away from me and they turned out to be the wrong car keys!

Had to refill washer fluid after minimal use. Service at check-in was plodding. Settings were locked on car, literally never seen that before and made me feel like I was being treated as untrustworthy.

Price was best at Fresno Airport. Employee service was very good. I loved that an employee meet me at the drop off location and checked me out without me having to go inside the airport. I will definitely rent my next car from Payless car rental.

Payless was so accommodating! Oscar, from Mercedes-Benz of Fresno, would not offer updates on my car until the very end of the day if at all, even though I would leave messages inquiring about it and this made it very stressful for me. But Payless came through for me everytime! Thank you Payless for giving exceptional customer service, during an extremely stressful time!

Excellent experience, felt valued, received a great car (Toyota Corolla) in time of need - perfect little car. Greeted when picked up/dropped off warmly & received refund on portion of my rental this was a GREAT experience highly recommend. They sell their cars as well, so while you’re out/about if you’re in need consider it a test drive as well. At the end of your rental if it’s not for you, simply return it and rent a different car. Great way to try it before you buy it, you can even have your mechanic look it over real quick. Just something to bear in mind. I definitely recommend renting any vehicle for your needs, it was a GREAT experience for me. Thank You for such a GREAT experience.

Oh goodness. Where to start. We rented a car from here to drive to Yosemite. An hour into our drive, the car starts acting up. We had to pull over and call roadside assistance. They told us we would get a text in ten minutes with a tow truck driver and how long it would be. They also informed us we would be riding an hour back to Fresno with the tow truck driver where they would replace our car and then we would turn around and drive back an hour plus. After an hour with no text, I started calling for other rental car business to secure a car. If I would of chose to wait on the driver, it would of been three hours. It is so hard to get an actual human being on the phone. It was all automated and when I did finally get through, they shuffle you from person to person. An hour call that should of taken 15 minutes, not to mention trying to get a refund. Very poor communication and under trained employees. We won’t rent from here again. It put a damper on our first day of vacay, but we made it through.
