Pearl Family Dentistry, Merced CA

PFD has been my go too since 2011. Their customer service is impecable. Their office is one of the cleanest ive seen. Dr. Badwalz is a great asset to Merced and has helped in the commuinty with charities and donations. Keep up the great work.

All the staff is super friendly, they all made me feel comfortable and cared for. They eased my anxiety, I usually hate going to the dentist. Best experience!

My dental filling experiences has been great. I love how I was informed ahead of time before he does anything or if he was to use a different dental instrument. One star off because my favorite dental hygienist Sochan is no longer there. He got light hand which made the cleaning process at ease and very clean. I then had Alissa. She was great as well. Another star off due to the cleaning I got done two weeks ago by someone different and it was not the same. I was feeling tense during the whole process because my teeth feels like they were being pull off and it turns out not as clean. I’m not too sure about getting my teeth clean here anymore but the dental filling I did feel at ease.

Accepted me because of my insurance, used one of my full exams, diagnosed me, charged me ahead of time to keep my name on the schedule and proceeded to cancel the next 2 appointments. And I was then told, they were “pretty sure” they could see me the following week. A waste of time and use of an exam.

If you feel that you are paying too much or overcharged on your costs. Check with your insurance to see what the contracted rate are after they had billed your insurance. I was surprised to see how much they overcharged me and how they would charge my deductible each time I went. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning due to the sketchy charges. The tech were well educated and throughly explained flossing and brushing but other than that, it’s just another dentist place.

Response: my plan does not have a copay. It has a $50 ded and that was all. Yea, check your EOB that way you can see if you are being balanced billed as well. Compare with the contracted rate.

Ended up signing up as a patient myself when I brought my son in for a cleaning. Was very impressed with the facility and the level of service we received. Looking forward to addressing some dental issues I've been putting off. Thanks guys you are really an asset to the Merced Community and I for one appreciate you. Thanks for taking such good care of my son today

Such a nice atmosphere. Staff are friendly. The doctor and hygienist were thorough and made you feel relaxed and eased my daughter's anxiety of being at the dentist.

I'd give a thousand stars if I could. The staff was SO nice! They really know how to make you feel welcome and safe. I have such an aversion to dentists but they made sure I was comfortable. The most neurodivergent-friendly dentist I have ever visited. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend!

I was visiting from out of town and had tooth pain. The office was able to get me in to be seen right away. They were awesome!

Wonderful people! I haven’t gone to the dentist for 10+ years so I knew my mouth was in for some serious work. I was super anxious coming in but they were so nice! They explained to me what needed to be done and why and they also work on your schedule. Love coming here for my dental needs!

Love the excellent dental care I receive and the staff is so kind and friendly! Dr. Badwalz is skilled in the area of dental implants, as he has done two for me. One thing I also appreciate about Pearl Family Dentistry is the surgeons that he sends you to when necessary. Excellent care also.

The office is beautiful and very clean. The reception and care coordinator are very sweet and professional. I was in extreme pain and they got me in right away. The next day I had a few questions and the doctor called me back personally in a very timely fashion. Very grateful for these folks! I highly recommend

I have pretty high dental anxiety due to a previous experience at another dentist office. Leading to years of avoiding the dentist until I couldn’t. I did my research and found this office, and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. Everyone in the office is friendly and understanding creating an environment that I felt both welcomed and comforted in. My anxiety, on more than a few occasions, has caused me tears just sitting in the waiting room. My dentist made the simple statement of “I’m only as good as my patient”. This would be how I described my overall experience. We only did work if/ when I was ready, even if it prolonged the visit. I was checked on throughout and after my visit to ensure I was comfortable. I highly recommend Pearl Family dentistry.

I had my cleaning yesterday and as always from the first person to the last at Pearl Dentistry I always feel like family they are always kind and caring.
If you’re looking for a Dentist I recommend them for all your needs.

On June 2 I have some filling done but after 2 weeks sometimes was not right. Today i was able to get seen by dr badwalz. Dr told me my filling was broken. Dr badwalz is the best he fix my issue right away. Thank you again and also, for making me feel comfortable.

They are wonderful. Been a patient for almost 10 years or so. Now my kids go to them also. Very kind and helpful. Would highly recommend them!
