Pearl Spa and Sauna, San Francisco CA

BOOK IN ADVANCE! I booked about two weeks in advance because I was coming from NYC.

I never had a Korean body scrub before so I was a little nervous! I booked the Honey and Milk package that included pretty much everything - scrub, massage, wrap, hair washing, facial, etc.

The facility is clean and all of the staff are very nice and friendly. Being nude in the pools or treatment room wasn't as weird as I thought it would be, everyone is respectful.

Mi mi was my staff member during my treatments and she was great. My skin is glowing and so soft.

The facility has plenty of amenities to get ready post treatment with hair dryers, showers, etc.

I left feeling truly pampered and relaxed. I will definitely visit again when I am in town.

Absolutely AMAZING! First time i went to Pearl and I will be coming back. I got the massage, facial, and shampoo/conditioner package and it was perfect. The sauna, steam room, hot tub, cold plunge, clay/salt room, and other spa amenities come with! Left my skin glowing and hydrated. Book an appointment right now - you won’t regret it:)

A wonderful spa where friendly ladies will take a good care of you! The Korean body scrub is an amazing treatment for skin! And I absolutely love the clay room where you can lay on warm clay balls and forget about the world outside!

Great experience all round. The ladies here are amazing, warm, friendly and provide a 5 star service from start to finish. The facilities are clean, with everything you need, really nice products too. I will be a regular now after my first experience!

Wow the BEST Spa experience in SF. Phenomenal! Its a sanctuary. The owner and staff are all super hospitable and really care about all the details, everything is high end (full aveda skin and hair care, the really expensive dyson hair dryers), smells so nice. Its an elevated Korean Spa experience. Highly recommended. Love this place

Pearl Spa and Sauna set the bar extremely high for the services, accommodations, and hospitality. This establishment is truly amazing and needed. I highly recommend any woman looking for a place to be catered to, this the place for you. I had the pleasure to be serviced by Mi Mi, and she was amazing. This was my first experience at a Korean spa and can't say enough how wonderful this place is! Everyone is incredibly kind and welcoming, the entire place is beautiful and clean, and my body scrub treatment was utterly fantastic. The scrub left my skin the softest it's ever been-amazing.

All of the amenities at Pearl-hot tub, steam room, sauna, Dyson hair dryers, refreshments, etc are great. I don't live in SF, but will definitely visit Pearl again when I'm back in town.

The absolute best! I got the Pearl Special with Lee and it was a heavenly experience. Lee did a fantastic job, she is communicative and the most kind. My skin is soft, glowing, and happier than ever! Incredible amenities and even more incredible staff. I will definitely be back!

Wow! Incredible experience! The staff was so attentive and welcoming. We spent an hour ahead of our treatment in the saunas, hot tub, salt room, etc, and then had a wonderful scrub and massage. It's hard to describe if you haven't done it before. It was also an incredible value.they used oils and masks and milk and all sorts of things to make my skin baby soft. I felt reborn!

I this spa. I never met any Korean before. However my first impression from this spa, Korean know how to live life fully. I am always greeted kindly at the door. The spa is never full and yet I don't find it hard to be fully naked. This is a strictly ladies spa. I love the Aveda tea and my most favorite is my oil massage. The ladies are all strong and good in massage. If you want deep tissue, please mention at the reception. Go to this place regularly and life will feel in ease.

My girls and I went here for the first time. It’s meant for some girls time to unwind and relax before my wedding day.

There were three of us so I called in to reserve since you can’t reserve for more than one online. I believed I called in 3-4 weeks before the desired date. The lady told us to come at least one hour earlier our appointment to enjoy their many amazing amenities such as hot bath, cold bath, sauna, steam room, clay room, and salt/stone room.

We did arrive early and the ladies were just so nice! They gave us our slippers and clothes to change into, as well as our bracelet to use for our lockers. We changed and we started using the amenities.

We only used 4 of those BEFORE the scrub and massage and we could tell that our skins were already glowing! After that, the ladies called us in for our scrub. The ahjumma was so good too, she scrubbed everything and I didn’t feel awkward at all! After the scrub, we enjoyed the vanity area where we could use all the dyson hair dryers and stylers, hair products, water, and tea. The other lady even styled my hair.

We had an amazing experience and will definitely come back! Btw, the other reviews about being naked helped us mentally prepare and most of them are right, you wouldn’t even notice because you mind your own business and people respect each other.

What an amazing luxury spa.
One thing to call out, it is common to find people nude in the jacuzzi and cold plunge area, don't be startled by it like me.

This may be one of the best spas in the area, but with the worst customer service. I purchased a gift certificate and apparently misspelled the email. The final purchase screen did NOT include the email address and so I was not able to catch my mistake. I was also prompted to provide a physical address and the form said the gift certificate would arrive at that address. 10 days later, I realized that nothing has arrived. I called their CS number and spoke to Joe. Luckily, I somehow found my browser tab from the order I made which still had the order number. Joe, who said he was the supervisor flat out refused to refund my money saying that it was my mistake for providing a wrong email address. Only after threatening that I will call my credit card he agreed to refund and he was not very nice about it. This is NOT how you do business.

I've been to several Korean spas in NY, NJ, and SoCal, and while this one is definitely the smallest and priciest one I've tried, it's on par as far as quality and great when it comes to amenities.

First, you get a silky robe instead of a frumpy shirt and shorts, which is a nice upgrade. Second, the vanity room has Dyson hair dryers, tons of Aveda facial/hair/skin products free to use, and snacks/tea for you to enjoy right there in the dressing area.

Unfortunately, there is a time limit of only 2 hours with the $40 entry free, but it's likely due to there only being 2 saunas and it's quite a small place.

The shower area has curtains, which is nice for those who want a tad more privacy, and they also have towels and wraps in the hot tub area. For some reason, there were no stools by the lower showers like it shows in their photos, so that was inconvenient.

Upstairs by the Saunas, there's a little lounge where you can refresh on water, read some magazines, or just relax. The saunas themselves are interesting, especially the one with all the little beads/balls. When you lay down they conform to your body so it's super relaxing, although it's difficult to actually get into position because they want you to only crawl or roll (which makes sense, you could easily slip trying to walk on those little beady balls).

This spa is definitely a great spot to relax and prep before going out or detox after a long week.
