8 Great spot. Quiet in the mornings. Has dumbbells and barbells first thing when you walk in, then machines and treadmills further inside. Pool access looks great, I've never tried it
Quiet and friendly staff
Everyone huffing and puffing in the workout area when the janitor come by in hazmat suit with leaf blower and blows dirt and dust in everyone's face as the are breathing heavily. Then upon leaving I pass same janitor in his hazmat suit and this tine he has a lawn sprayer, he says to me " Be careful, I put it the poison" as he sprays the lot liberally. Meanwhile 10 feet away people are breathing heavily working out. Be smart and bring a hazmat suit like the guy spraying everyone.
Yes please do, and talk to your janitor because if he is afraid of the chemicals enough that he wears a hazmat suit when he sprays them, it blows my mind that he would be spraying so much around the child watch, those poor children.sad.
The worst SD YMCA I've been to. Main gym area was cold in the morning. Hot water want working in the showers. Overall disappointing
Ok gym has what you need, bathroom is in need of an overhaul. My partner left his shoes in the changing room at closing one night, we returned the next morning to get them and they were nowhere to be found! Bit strange
Peninsula Family YMCA = HIDDEN GEM! This is the type of location that the locals don't want people to know about!
Friendly staff and professional trainers. Indoor basketball court, outdoor pool and hot tub, indoor and outdoor free-weights, cycling/yoga room, and plenty of equipment. Treadmills and some other machines with with screens. Staff remembers you and greets you every time. Plenty of classes to attend. No annoying music blasting and there are big fans to keep you cool.
Very family friendly for both young and old. The membership would be worth every penny. This is also a Pokemon Go gym - remember that fad?
Love this place. Well ran. Clean. Friendly. I'm a gym rat and although equipment not state of art, you can make it work.
I had a personal trainer there and she was great. My son played soccer there for three years and attended the summer camps two years in a row! They were great and he loved it! They also have a before and after school program at no cost to you! Amazing staff and services!
