Dr. Sijbrant is amazing and I've been a patient of his for 6 years. He has successfully treated me for everything from colds, flu, allergies, and athletic injuries, to GI issues and anxiety. He has also treated all of my family members for a variety of illnesses and injuries, and we trust him completely. He is an incredible doctor and knows everything there is to know about the human body and all its functions. He listens to his patients and gives them 150% of his attention and is fully invested in the health and well-being of his patients. I started seeing Dr. Sijbrant at the recommendation of a friend back in January, after my insomnia started getting worse in the previous months. I’d tried several different treatments for sleep by then, and I was generally so sick and tired of dealing with the tiredness and awful side effects caused by sleep medication.
I had no idea that acupuncture could even treat insomnia — I always thought it was for back or nerve pain. But the improvement I saw in even the first few weeks was nothing short of miraculous. After my first month, I noticed that not only was I falling asleep and waking up like I’d used to, but I felt a million times more energized and refreshed the next day, unlike how groggy I’d feel after taking a sleeping pill. Nine months in and so much has improved: my overall energy/zest for life, happiness/motivation/drive, and even my performance at work are higher than I can ever remember. I feel like a totally new person.
Dr. Sijbrant, the guy behind it all, is so kind, empathetic, and experienced. He genuinely seems to care about how I’m doing, he never rushes our appointments, and I always feel so calmed by his presence and demeanor. The office itself feels very safe — we get a temp taken when we walk in the door, you’re never inside when another patient is there, and the rooms are cleaned after each person. The ambiance if his space is calming and peaceful, which feels like a respite from the the rest of the world in COVID.

All in all, I can’t give a higher recommendation — I was a skeptic before trying holistic medicine, and only wish I had found it sooner. Definitely go for it if you’re on the fence!
