Penske Truck Rental, Irvine CA

So the people here are nice and the van I rented seemed mostly ok. The problem is, they knew I was driving across country with it and let me get out of there with over inflated, marginally treaded tires. I looked at them before I left and thought they might be ok, but I found out they weren't. About half way home, I had to contact Penske to get an approved vendor list, but I had to do all the calling around myself! I finally found one that could get the tires I needed, but had to limp the van to the location by driving 6 hours at 50 mph with my hazard lights on! This put me behind schedule and caused a ton of stress. When I got to the shop, the tires were measured at 0/32nds! I won't ever use Penske again!

I went over 120 miles with there 16 foot truck and it was a nice ride. The person helping me was very friendly and there call center is very friendly and helpful. The only problem was that sometimes when calling the center, the call gets dropped and you have to try 2 or 3 times to get the call to get through. The truck rental is a good price and the mileage pricing is half the price of all the other truck rentals. I will definitely use them again.
