Shaun is a true professional! Every time I've taken my vehicle to Pep Boys (on Rosedale) and Shaun has waited on me, I gave received 1st class treatment. Shaun is very thorough and has taken the time to contact my extended warranty company to determine if work or parts are covered. Goes above and beyond.

Pulled up with a flat tire 5 minutes before we closed and they didn’t even try to help us. We were 45 miles away from home on a Sunday and they were our only hope and we were treated as though our situation wasn’t important, I’m sure this had to do with the fact that they were about to close.

Customer Service has been awful. Went in for a battery replacement. The only thing they did was charge the battery. However the battery should have been completely replaced they did not want to replace it even after I asked them to replace it while it was still under warranty. The tire pressure light came on once I had picked up the car. They didn't even bother to inspect the tires when the light came on when they turned on the car my car had been there for 24 hours. Had to got to another shop just for them to tell me that one tire had a nail (also my tires have warranty with pep boys). The employees not only lack knowledge but professionalism.

Worst Customer service imaginable. I called ahead 555pm.told them I needed a tire fixed. I Only needed a patch. I showed up at 605pm and was told they couldnt help me until the following day. They close at 7pm and they couldn't help me with a tire patch at 605pm? ! Beyond absurd and lazy. Not sure why they stay open until 7pm if they stop working at 6pm. Now i have to drive home with an air leak in my tire.

Very nice.they aired up all my tires for no charge.and there wasn't a wait at all! Definitely impressed!

Made an appointment couldn't be seen backed up 2 hours.it's not like gas is 2 or $3 a gallon Didn't seem very professional inside there anyway

Went in a few days ago to get my battery and alternator checked because the car wouldn’t start without it being jump started. I thought that they would be fast and I would be out of there right away. It took them 4 hours to check the battery and then they tell me that they couldn’t check the alternator. I wish that they had told me that sooner instead of me sitting there for that long. Besides I had called them and asked them if they had time to look at before I brought it.

Please stay away from this place. I made an appointment at 9AM for tire rotation. When I checked the clock it was past 10: 40AM and my car was still not serviced. All they did was remove it from the customer parking to the back. I got tired of waiting and I went to the back and no one had done anything to my car. It was just sitting there. When I approached the mechanic to ask him how much longer I had to wait, he said a couple of more hours! What a joke! I would give them 0 stars if I could. The mechanic got what he deserved.

The WORST SERVICE I brought my vehicle in because the AC was blowing hot air, when the temperature outside is 96 and above. 4 hours later they told me it just needed a recharge. My total was $195.84. I paid "they fix it" i thought. I was told nothing was wrong with it. I got in my vehicle and drove away. Less then 5 minutes down the street and the air was blowing hot still. I called they were closing so I couldn't bring it back. The technician was off the next day. The next appointment was today at 11am I brought my vehicle to them, I got a call at 3: 56pm almost 5 hours later and was told now I need a new compressor and it would cost over $800. I told Raul that I just paid almost $200 two days prior for them to do nothing. If that was the case I could just have just paid the $49 diagnostic fee. He then told me the total charge would have been $1000 but they would remove the $200. I barely had the $200 to get my car fixed. I really didn't have another $800. He couldn't tell me why they didn't find that the first day I dropped my car off for the first 4 hours on and brought it back again today for another 5 hours for them to finally tell me I need a new compressor. When a few days prior they told I wouldn't have to change it for awhile and that everything was fine when it wasn't. I will NEVER bring my vehicle here again. After complaining and complaining and being told there was nothing that could be done i was finally given a refund. Just moved to bakersfield and my first time at pep boys and this will definitely be my last time. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR VEHICLES.

I could take my vehicle to any place but I keep coming back to this location of Pep Boys because they are honest, hard working, and exceed my expectations every time!

Based on a recommendation from my coworker, my husband brought our SUV in to get brakes done at Pep Boys on Rosedale. There was a lot of corrosion of the brake components and the service tech provided our options as well as his recommendation. He took the time to discuss the corrosion that he saw and to understand why it was like that. Because our vehicle is from a colder climate, that amount of corrosion made sense. He changed out all of the bad components and did so at a cost less than any other quote from shops I had contacted. The guy that at the shop was named Shaun - he was awesome! Thanks Pep Boys! Highly recommended!

I brought my car because the check engine light came on, and I need to get it smogged. Raul at the Rosedale location told me it would be over $400 for something that was completely unrelated to the check engine light. I brought it somewhere else and it was only the gas cap. Raul charged me $100 just to hook the scanner up to it and tell me what was wrong with it. I drove away feeling the most ripped off I’ve ever been in my life. Essentially I’ve been robbed by pep boys. I’m filing a complaint with corporate.

Two cars I had both ended up with the skid plate falling off while driving after they serviced my car. This last time, they broke my air filter box, my car has two filters and one filter was found to be different, and put in wrong and they broke the clip on the box, so thats hundreds of dollars for me to replace. I was lied to about it, I asked if my filters were checked and ok, they said yes. Of course they would say yes, they broke it. I learned the hard way, pay cheap prices at a place with high turnover rate of constant new employees, you get what you pay for. Not worth going back.
