Poor service and consistently missing appointment times. If I don't call I still would be without my car. I checked my car in and waited several minutes before I was even greeted by a service member. When I was greeted I told them of my appointment, which they looked it up and verified my 12pm appointment that was booked online. I was told I would get a call when the work was done. I called back around 2: 15 as I had yet to get a call. I was then told they were behind and would get to it right away. I was not surprised as this is not the first time they do not honor appts and I get sometimes things happen.but a courtesy call should be given to customer as you have no idea what they have on their schedule for the day! I gave them another 30 minutes and then showed up as enough was enough and I had other things I had to get done and places to be. I asked if the other services were done and the lady asked me if I told her about them when I checked in the car. Excuse Me! I put all of this down when I filled out the online appt request that you verified once I got there. If is your responsibility to ensure everything is done to completion! Then she said well it wasn't done but you can go to your other obligations and then come back. Oh boy! She proceeded to tell me the truck recommendations from the free inspection was listed on the paperwork. It was not. But again I am not surprised. Same old problems continue to plague this place over and over again. Oh yeah. I finally got the text that my car was done as I was leaving the parking lot.gotta love it! Only go if you have a day to kill with no other appts and you can afford to get half the work completed!

I also find it horrible that the owner would reply with a flat out lie stating my appt was cancelled prior to my visit but a second later wants me to provide them with my contact info so they can research it further.hmmmmm I would figure you would research first before giving a response when you don't know the facts.shady.

I went in for an oil change, three weeks later my car is telling me that I am very low on oil. I called the representative at Pep Boys, She asked me if I got the oil change? I said yes I paid for an oil change so then she quickly changed it to ohh yeah oil change was done! But I didn’t get the oil change because obviously my car wouldn’t have shown that it’s low on oil after only three weeks.

Longtime customer since 2002. Will never go back to this Pep Boys nor any ever again.
Just terrible service, disrespectful, rude, unprofessional. Took all day to put four new tires, and front brakes. Completely unsatisfactory!

Ricardo the general manager was awesome from the beginning of helping me to the very end of the service. I took my car in for new brakes and rotors. He explained everything to me via telephone and what needed to be done along with the costs of the service. His team was professional and did a thorough check of my vehicle as well. Great customer service and the best thing, I got my car back the same day. Thank you Ricardo to you and your team.

More than 1 hour just for an oil change, this place in particular is really slow, I recommend the place thats across the street from this one, valvoline fast and efficient

Broke wiper fluid reservoir and blamed it on "My car being to old" Did not take responsibility to fix problem they created and told me I have to repair my self.

Great customer service! I was able to get the repair under the warranty and there was no disputing or going back and forth. I was impressed with the person who checked me in for the service. I will definitely be coming back for future maintenance.

Just got my tires at Pepboys at Tierra Del Rey, Chula Vista and couldn’t be more satisfied. Especial thanks you to Caden who made it all possible and his Store Manager. Not only did they match the competitions price which I didn’t know, they even beat it with a lower price that’s hard to beat including Road Hazard Warranty for peace of mind. Did I mention they’re Michelin tires. That’s right Michelin tires ladies and gentlemen. In addition, this Pepboys shop hands down is highly recommended!

Honesty I've had bad experiences going to Jiffy Lube and Valvolines but this Pepboys was so amazing. They were helpful and changed my oil super quick. Customer service was phenomenal and they even installed the windshield wipers i purchased next door for free. They were great and I'll definitely come back.

As a long-standing customer of Pep Boys, relying on their services for over three years to carry out preventative maintenance and minor repairs on my vehicles, I find myself compelled to share a series of distressing experiences that have shattered my confidence and strained my patience.

Over these past few years, I had put my trust in Pep Boys to ensure my 5 vehicles were well taken care of. However, in the past year and a half, a succession of issues has arisen that have severely tainted my opinion of their service.

It's unbelievable how, within this relatively short period, what used to be a reliable workshop for preventive maintenance and minor repairs on my vehicles has transformed into a hub of blunders and a disregard for quality.

I can't overlook the times I've had to return after an initial "service" due to errors that shouldn't have happened in the first place. For instance, in the case of a simple oil change, and they couldn't even manage something as basic as rotating the tires, which was supposed to be part of the package.

Another instance that stands out is when they mishandled the oil change for my vehicle. Despite the straightforward specifications for the oil quantity the engine requires, there was an issue with overfilling it. It's disheartening to see a lack of attention to such basic guidelines and standards.

But what takes the cake is the most recent incident. I brought one vehicle with my own oil and filter, to avoid more misunderstandings. What do I get in return? An odd engine noise. The cause? The air filter box left open, and, even more shockingly, the oil filter replaced with one from an entirely different brand, and my filter is missing and nobody can give an answer about it.

My attempts to reason with the staff and store managers have been in vain. It seems my frustration and the consequences of their actions are not taken seriously. My trust in Pep Boys has evaporated entirely.

We had our brakes replaced and oil changed. There was an issue with vehicle afterward, so I took it back. They resolved the issue and did not even charge me to do it. They are great!
