We cannot say enough amazing things about SF Pet Camp! The staff is amazing and they really treat the dogs like their own. They go above and beyond to take photos during their stay so you feel like you have a connection to your pets even while you are away from them. They provide the best customer experience of any dog boarding or daycare place we have been to - just the best!

Our beautiful Bella is a handful…but the team at Pet Camp just have an amazing way with her. Somehow, every time she stays there for a long weekend, she comes back renewed and happier than before! Highly recommend this place!

Very unreliable and unprofessional services. Dropped off my dog for a weekend stay and grooming. She came back bleeding from her paws. Why would you brand yourself as highest in quality and bill as such if you cannot even do a simple nails trim? Very disappointed and will not stay here ever again

I have been taking my dogs to Pet Camp since 2006. This is the only place I trust with my fur babies from boarding to day care services.

Pet camp was a lifer saver as I had to travel for 6 weeks. They took great care of my dog, i could see pictures on the site and they were available anytime to give me updates on how he was doing. He was very happy and healthy when i got him back, can’t recommend enough.

My mom always watches my dogs when I am out of town. I was very nervous about leaving them overnight for 9 nights when we had to be out of the house for an asbestos abatement job in our home. My co-worker uses Pet Camp for daycare and overnight care so she referred me. I am so happy with Pet Camp. They were amazing and my dogs looked so happy from the photos they posted. Everyone there is very nice! They all seem to love what they do and that shows in how happy my dogs were while they were there. I will definitely use there services again!

Although my cat was too shy to do any activities. I know she was in good hands, every time I called to check on her all staff were super friendly and reassuring that Luna was okay. I will absolutely bring her back if I need to travel again.

All 3 of my cats settled in comfortably and were well taken care of. I would definitely refer friends and family, I am so happy that I have a place that I can trust with my fur babies.

These wonderful people really got me out of a pickle!

When I first called them about my dog Wilber, joining their K9 program I was a bit scared as I had been rejected by other places due to his breed (pitbull lab mix). They accept all dogs and have no breed restrictions which was great and also a breath of fresh air due to the stigma around bully breeds.

On the day of his scheduled training (which was made a few days out), I had to make an impromptu trip to Florida. They willingly took Wilber for a 5 night stay where he was able to have K9 training daily and be well taken care of. They helped him with name recognition (since we got him from the shelter) and when I rang them on numerous days that happily gave me updates on how he was doing which was a huge relief as this was the first time I had ever boarded him.

They put my anxieties at ease every step of the way and he was a very happy and tired pup when we came back to get him.

I couldn't thank these people enough! We will be back!

Thank you so much! I appreciate you!

We’ve been using Pet Camp since the late 90’s starting with our 1st dog, Max; and currently with our dogs Rocco and Jonah. We feel our dogs are very well taken care at Pet Camp. If there are any issues, they make sure to contact us immediately.
The counselors genuinely care for the campers and it shows from check-in thru check out. Plus they take daily pics so it’s always a treat to see how much fun our dogs are having! We appreciate all that Pet Camp does to make our dogs feel welcome and comfortable during their stay.

I enrolled my puppy into Petcamp based on reviews/ratings, i felt confident that Petcamp will get my puppy to where he needed. I was advised that the Enrichment Program would be best to start off with for a puppy who wasn't neutered yet. The Enrichment program was to provide safe dog socializing and one on one training.

The goal from my first conversation was to eventually have my puppy go into the Back Country program after one on one training and after his operation. I was advised to purchase the 20 pack. My puppy started off twice a week. I purchased a second round and by the 12th session he was neutered. I called and spoke to a staff member regarding using the last sessions for Back County (all day play with dogs). I was told that it would be best to carry out the rest of the sessions to prepare him for Back Country, which i understood and agreed. But again, this was the goal since day 1.

By this time Petcamp forgot to pick up my dog 3 times. First occasion i gave the benefit of the doubt. Also, 4 times they had forgot to bring the house key to pick up/drop off my dog. Luckily, i work from home and they called to open the door. If not, guessing they would have to make an additional trip. I was not home one morning and unfortunately Petcamp called my father to open up my door. I had them drop off my dog once at my father's. Very unprofessional.

It was discussed that on my dogs last 8 sessions he would be socializing with more dogs and i would get clips/videos of his progress. Then, after he would go to Back Country. I think most owners don't know how they're dog is doing at daycare everyday and since it was a journey for mine (training) i wanted to ensure progress. I never got videos.

After completing 40 sessions of one on one training and socializing i would think my dog would be more than ready. I attempted to buy two days of Back Country to see how it went before buying a larger pack. The day comes and they forgot to pick up my dog. When i called staff said "he wasn't scheduled. " I called the day before his pick up day to schedule. They kept saying he wasn't scheduled. Then when i asked for Jessica the manager it seemed like she redirected the issue into explaining how my dog wasn't ready for Back Country anyway. After 40 sessions and went up to 3 times a week? What were they doing this whole time? This is exactly why i wanted progress videos.

My dog just turned 1 and is an Akita, non aggressive and extremely sweet. My concerns were other dogs almost bullying him. In the beginning he would be glued to small dogs because of this but of course as large breed owners know, big dog play is different with small dogs.

I spoke with a number of staff members, and it's clear now that Petcamp has extremely poor communication within their team. As far as the Enrichment program it was a waste, if they could not get my puppy to where he needed after 40 sessions 2-3 times a week then they need to reevaluate their system/training. It was more expensive for the program and in general a more expensive day care. Waste.

The only positive thing i could say is that the drivers the times i had interacted with them were kind to me and my dog.

The front office could be more helpful, but I think they're a little overloaded. My dog definitely had a safe and exhausting time.

Just picked up our -very- anxious dog from her first time at camp. We were a little nervous because she can be very shy with strangers, which can turn to reactivity if she's not given the space to adjust. But the professionals at pet camp had us covered! Her counselor told me that she and other staff went very slow with her, meeting her on her level and making her feel comfortable-resulting in a pleasant four-night stay without incident. That's huge! And a testament to the mindfulness of the staff, meeting your pup's needs where they're at. Thanks, Pet Camp, we're glad to know you're a reliable option the next time we go out of town.:)

We had boarded our dog previously at another kennel in SF, and I didn't have a good feeling when I picked him up from his stay. With PetCamp, I had peace of mind from our very first interaction. They truly care about animals - it's evident in every aspect of their business and interaction with you and your pets. We boarded our dog and cat for one week - and I felt at ease knowing that they were in very capable, caring hands. When we picked up each of our pets, we had conversations with the caretakers that conveyed, without doubt, that they had specific knowledge of our pets. It was clear that the trainers had interacted with & gotten to know them on a personal level. We were so happy and relieved to know that our furballs were well taken care of while we were out of town. The Camp Cameos are also wonderful to look through each day. We will 100% be utilizing PetCamp's services again. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Pet Camp was able to host my cat on short notice with no issue. The facility was clean and cute. The staff genuinely care about the cats and were even willing to refund some of the cost of some enrichment activities that my scaredy cat didn't end up using! I will definitely have my cat stay with them again!

I’m happy with my recent experience with Cat Safari. The facility is clean, welcoming and well-maintained and staff was helpful. Daily picture update was appreciated as we could see how our cat looked. My cat’s pictures were mostly from inside of his condo (except for the days he had safari time) but my cat is shy so it could’ve been that he was not as adventurous and stayed put in his bed. I would def consider Cat Safari again for my future boarding needs. I’m glad to have found an alternative to Wag.
