Petco, La Quinta CA

Extremely Bad Service from the grooming department. 2 groomers and have very bad customer service communication. Both lied and one yelled. Groomers and groomer manager refused to service my pets. They laughed it away. All because one of my dogs bark a lot and another who was 6 months at the time of his first grooming was unaware of what was being done to him. Basically they couldn’t get him out of the kennel for his bath. So they never bathed him before. Ended up taking him to Petsmart where they did a fantastic job last time. But since my other dogs got groomed at Petco I figured I’d take my baby there to. But now Petco Grooming in La Quinta is refusing to bathe any of my dogs. Bad Customer Service. Switching to Petsmart. Don’t recommend Petco. With attitudes like the ones in grooming now, I’d be afraid to leave my dog with them. I can only imagine how mean they would be to my dogs. Petsmart #1

Very nice staff especially the manager "Celeste. " She was really helpful & nice when I had questions about my pet rats. A good Petco!? Cept I wish they sold rats

Great service when I ordered online and had my dogs in the car with me. All I had to do was call when I arrived and they sent a nice girl out in three minutes with my dog food! Awesome!

Sarah at La Quinta is Fantastic. ️ All you want from a grooming salon is that you feel your pets are happy and feel calm and safe. Then look great.
I’m completely over the moon on all these “feels” Sarah has been grooming my two dogs for years. Scout from a puppy. She’s had the patience to win Scout over and now they’re like family.
Ryder is older and has many skin tags and she is always so careful with him.
She is a wonder woman with them.
I’ve read some terrible things said about Sarah. I find it very hard to believe. VERY!

Alexandra was excellent! Listened to exactly what I asked for, and performed above and beyond! Will definitely be back!

I took my dog to have a haircut and nails buffed. When I went to pick her up, after I paid, she has patches where they cut too much off on her chest. They didn't trim her tail and ears. Super disappointed

Sarah the groomer has a horrible demeanor towards costumers! She called me rude for telling her she shouldn't be working there if she doesn't know what's she's doing & Said she wouldn't groom my dog if I kept on expressing what was nothing but the truth. We got there with proof of my dogs vaccinations, which she quickly said they were expired and was to get another rabies shot? I knew it was right and kept asking how she came to figure that out, and her answers were all over the place. Felt norepinephrine like she was trying to push put the doors and she was having a bad day. We returned to my car and the paper said ex date for vaccines 2023! Husband whent back and age atoll was defiant and ended up calling her manager just to conformed she was in the wrong. I've been grooming my pets with petco for years and never really had an issue with the groomers. Dont let Sarah touch you're animals.

Getting a new puppy and they had everything (plus a lot more) that we will need for our new family member.

I took my dog 14 months old to have his nails cut and filed. The woman working there should not work with animals. She didn’t talk to him nor pet him to reassure him, she sat him on the table passed a cord around his neck and started to cut his nails without ever addressing him. She then stopped and said, I cannot file his nails.this dog is not trained (wrong he was). He was just terrified, she was very unpleasant and arrogant. We have 3 cats and one dog here we go Petsmart!

This is a well stocked, clean and friendly store. I feel more comfortable shopping in Petco than any other store. Full service store for all your pet needs.

Petsmart offered a $15 off coupon for two days, but were out of stock and when asked for a rain check, I was told they don't offer them. (Then don't bait me into shopping there.) I was able to purchase my pet's food and save the same $15 without a coupon. Nice people and quick service.

Their service was good, but the fish were not for sale and they had fish at this location. I came to this location to buy a certain fish since the Indio Petco did not have the fish that we need.

I love this large space shop but you have to look a lot to get the products you want because the staff stays at their checkouts. Super clean place

Nice enough people, asked for help and was taken to what I needed, line was short, items are abundant, pricey but this is expected, it's how they make there money.

Very pleasant shopping experience. Helpful staff and great interaction with other pet lovers!
