Shoutout to Marti who was so happy to tell me how cute my little puppy was in her pumpkin costume! My dog Minnie Mouse was sniffing outside, Marti came out so excited to tell me about the 20% off. I had no idea! I just really love Halloween. Went inside and took pictures and Minnie got lots of butt scratches. Turns out Marti and I share a wedding anniversary! Happy anniversary Marti! We always come every Saturday for socialization and treats. But I specifically choose this location over any other store because it's big, clean, and all the employees are always friendly and kind. Minnie Mouse and I PetCo and Marti!

We couldn’t have been happier with the whole experience. From the front desk to the delightful nurse and Dr Massey was compassionate and concise. The treatment worked quickly and we are now in the process of switching permanently to Vetco. Thank you so very much!

The groomer is the best and really cares about the animals. It's a natural love for dogs and they feel it

Needed prescription food for my beagle, Hills Science Diet. Thet always have it, yeah! No hassle and always convenient for my beagle and me! She also loves to smell the play toys which they keep low to the floor.

A really nice and new Petco with a Vetco in the heart of San Marcos. I don't go to the vet here, but the shop itself is fantastic and has all the things.

Always a great experience. In general the employees go beyond the call of duty. Helping me with the Petco app, Vital care, etc.

Unfortunately I had to delete my previous review.
Twice now I've had a negative experience with the groomers here.
Our dog has been groomed here since at least 2010.
But now that she's aging, the staff is treating her as a High Risk patient.

I really don't appreciate being told by a groomer that my dog is at "her last days" when the vet said she's in great condition for her age. Just a very off putting experience and we will go to a different location from now on.
The weird thing is that the first time I had a bad experience, I spoke with the manager who smoothed things over. But here we are again

I am very grateful today I dropped 100 dlls I was with my kitten and due to my carelessness I threw them away I realized that on the way I returned after 15 minutes hoping to find the money in the areas where I was and I did not find them I approached with 2 girls who are at the counter, all sad, asked if by chance they had looked at 100 dlls and if they were very kind they returned my money very honestly Thank you very much when they gave me the money I felt happy because I returned to the store without hope but the honesty of those 2 girls are worth more God bless you

We love Petco selection, grooming and vet. They try to go out of their way to be helpful and kind. My dog loves it there.

Since this re-opened a few months ago, I had not tried the self-wash station. I liked it and cannot see me going anywhere else. They have a shower head with different choices of shampoos and the water is already set to perfect temp. It was so convenient!

Update: Since my original review, the truth is they couldn't keep the place clean if they wanted. The self-wash station is always full of hairs and the tile is slimy and dirty. Unfortunately they never seem to have enough staff members and the check out line is kind of slow most times.

Nice staff, but it took 25 minutes just to drop my dog off for grooming and another 25 to pick her up. The line only had 2 groups in it both times they just don’t have anyone manning their desk. Big waste of time on a work day for something that should be fast.

Grebia and Sam were so helpful and patient with me today! Great customer service and an understanding and welcoming team. I had a huge emergency that I needed to tend to and in the midst of my chaos they offered flexibility and it’s obvious that they really do care about their job.

The dog trainer Christine is amazing! My dog adored her and I highly recommend her because we saw an amazing improvement in our puppy’s behavior at record speed.

This is the best location for your pet.

Jolene is an awesome groomer. She is very caring, considerate and patient. She did a great job with my pup who doesn’t like her nails done but was very happy when she walked out of the salon and into the store. THANK YOU JOLENE!

One of the worst pet grooming locations in San Diego. They are refusing to groom our dog because they say our dog is too old.

The store is well stocked and clean. The staff we encountered were very helpful & nice. Parking is ample. There is a vet & grooming in this location.
